Okay, you are referring to the last Heavenletter in the book! When the thoughts of man rise, can the world stay the same?

I really feel we need the whole context of the letter for this sentence to be understood to its fullest.

Here are a few lines:

"If no one one feared they would be robbed, would there be robbery?...Are the robber and the robbed vibrating at the same vibration? Does the one with ten locks on his front door call the robber to him? Is the robber answering a request when he robs?...Do the ones who dun for payment attract those who do not pay?...Do Human Beings on Earth call events and people to them? Is everything an interaction?...There is no pat answer that can satisfy.

"Yet, at the same time, when something strikes a chord in you, it strikes a chord. When something rubs you the wrong way, perhaps a note already exists within you that reverberates. If you fear all the time that someone will cheat you, what are you attracting?"

I think translators have a hard task sometimes, and this is one of those times.

My guess is that God is meaning: When you have a reaction, you have a reaction. When you're upset or fearful or angry,you are upset or fearful or angry. If that chord were not within us, could an outside event affect us so?

Neverthless, when something does strike us a certain way and make us unhappy, we are unhappy. Something outside has struck a chord inside us. Could an outside event strike a chord that is not within us?

If something strikes a chord within us, it's our chord that was struck.

Canim Engin, in terms of the sentence itself, I don't know another way to say it. "...when something strikes a chord in you, it strikes a chord."

When you're happy, you're happy. But the happiness is within us all along. The same with the responses we give that are not happy.

Hopefully, someone can give you a simpler answer than I did!
