There is nothing in the world that you need but Me, and you have Me, so what do you need? What can you possibly need? Come from the place that you have everything. Everything. You already have it. It is already yours.

If you are lacking shoes, feel yourself tying your shoes, and then think of something else. When you already have shoes, you don’t think about them so much.

As much as you can, think about giving rather than needing. And if you have nothing material to give, then give a kindness. Even a smile or a glance will boost someone’s spirits. Whatever you give, you will receive. Give a boost, and you are boosted. And yet give without a thought of what your giving will bring you. It is enough that you give.

Feel the difference in your heart when you think of giving rather than needing. Get used to that feeling. That is the feeling to nurture. Let that feeling become a habit, and you will have everything under the sun. You will have wealth that is better than coin. A wealthy man does not need to have any concern about lack. I would like you to feel like a wealthy man. Be a banker of wealth of the heart.

Do not think I mean you are to have wealth of heart and yet lack in the world. Start from a full heart. Be looking out for advantage that you can give. That is the opportunity to look for. You are not a monkey who has to grab. You are a Human Being who has to give. You have to give, not because I say so, not for virtue -- you have to give because giving is a basic Human need. Happiness lies in giving, not taking, not having to have, but in having to give. The only reason you have to give is because that is where your happiness lies.

You may have convinced yourself otherwise, but you were kidding yourself. One of the things that makes you a Human Being is this ability to give and to recognize that you give the gift to yourself. There is no one else to give to. You cannot give without giving to yourself. In giving, you receive the most. You accept your own generosity of heart. You recognize Me within your heart. It is My generosity that you give.

Material things cannot substitute for giving. There is much more to give than an object. Give deeds. Imagine what it would be like to be a great philanthropist of actions. Let giving become a popular sport. Let giving become the breakfast food of champions.

Money is a means, so give money too. Just be sure your heart goes with it. Do not be bored with giving money. You won’t be yawning when your heart goes pulsing with your gift.

Babies need to be given to, and yet babies are the greatest givers. They have nothing to give, yet they give of themselves fully and naturally. A baby is a baby of love. You know how a baby quickens your heart. Quicken other hearts by giving your heart. Babies do not think about giving love or anything. They just give. By their holy presence, they give. They are instruments of giving.

And so are you.

Even if you are isolated in a prison cell, you can give from your heart. This is called love, the impulse to give. Wherever you are, whoever you happen to be, fullness of love can radiate from your heart. See that light spinning from your heart. It can fill up the whole world. Give your heart permission right now to let that light spin and spin and spin. Let your heart be a fluttermill of love.
