The World Rejoiced
What if you liked yourself? What if you were good to yourself and did not feel bad about yourself? What if you had no worries, no regrets? What if you had no doubts about yourself or your so-called past, future, and present? What if you were all right now and could only be all right regardless of what the world might think or what the world might say or what the world might do? What if you were far more than you thought?
What if there were no such thing as dire?
What if everything I say is the Truth, the absolute Truth, what then would be different? What in your life would change before your very eyes, all because you let go of thoughts that you previously thought you had to have, no matter how damaging.
What if you could be brand-new today? All you would have to do is to go to the library of your mind and take out new thoughts. You would let go of the old as if every day were the start of the New Year.
Beloveds, every minute is. Every minute of Earth time as it is measured is the start of new and done with the old.
You, beloveds, are a prime renewable resource. Sweep away the old, and you will be renewed.
Think well of yourself. Let's face it. You may have thought of yourself as a flop. You are afraid of this and that. You don't know how to do this or that. Frankly, you don't know what to make of yourself. And you don't know what to make of Me. This is a sad story, isn't it? It is a love story gone awry.
It is a story of a prince and a princess who think they are lacking their kingdom. They don't know they have a kingdom. They don't know that they are children of royalty. They think they are chimney sweeps or nothing at all. They think of themselves as abandoned. They don't realize that it was they who walked out of the castle. They were not evicted. Of their own free will, they walked out and felt lost. They struggled where struggle was not necessary. They were fraught with struggle. They may not have believed that they were worthy of a palace or even a place in the world.
One day the prince and princess lifted their eyes, and they saw above the dust of the street. They saw the sun by day and the moon by night. They began to see. They began to see that everything is lit. If the sun can shine and the moon can glow and shine and glow on them, perhaps they were not so orphaned after all.
The more they looked up, the more they looked up. One day they glanced down at themselves, and they saw that they were wearing royal robes. They felt crowns on their heads, and rings on their fingers. One day, by virtue of their looking up, they began to see, and they began to see themselves in a new light, and the whole world changed and danced before them. What did it matter now whether or not others saw them in their new colors? They began to know who they were. They recognized themselves.
No longer did the prince and princess look down on themselves. They looked up at Me, and began to see themselves in Me. They tipped their royal crowns to Me and joyfully ruled the kingdom of themselves, and all the world rejoiced.
