The Way

God said:

You think that it is I you are to hold in reverence, and yet that is not so. I hold you in reverence, for I created you. I love My creation.

Rather than holding Me in reverence, I would ask you to love the world and the people in it. They are just like you, striving for more, striving for perfection, striving for peace, for love, for joy, and not always knowing how to go about it.

What does it matter, your reverence for Me? What is its meaning without its application to the relative world? Why would I want your reverence anyway? I do not wish to be revered. I do not wish to be pandered to.

We are trying to make the world a little less relative, or, should I say, We wish to bring the world closer to Heaven, where everyone is related to everyone else, where everyone is kin. When We say relative world, conditional world is meant, where one thing depends on another. Like blocks, one on top of another, the relative world topples because a condition wasn’t met or not met well enough. Unwritten, unspecified, unknown expectations were not met. The blocks toppled without your realizing that they might. You care so much, and yet you did not see the toppling coming. You are stunned. What you are stunned by is your own reaction. You count something heavily that another does not, and so you see their way as a black mark against them. Perhaps you think you are to be reverenced.

No man is to be revered, and yet life is to be revered. It is such a great thing that I come to Earth in many forms and guises, sometimes when you least expect Me.

How many times have I knocked on your door, and you didn’t recognize Me?

I ask you, why reverence Me in Heaven, and look at Me amiss on Earth? You even look at yourself amiss on Earth. You don’t really see yourself as a great shakes any more than you see others in their true light. I am the Truth, and I am the Way. I am the Way to you, and I am parleyed in every Being on Earth. When it comes to Me, high and low have no meaning.

In any case, it is certain that you have underestimated what is eternally true, and overestimated that which blinds you from what is eternally true.

“Love one another” has been the cry through the ages. And yet there has been another cry: “Each man for himself.” “Each family for itself.” “Each country for itself.” There is even the cry: “Each planet for itself.”

The Three Musketeers had it right. They were close. “All for one, and one for all.”

And I tell you that there is One only.

The way the world treats itself now is as if you thought your toes were not a part of you, that they were not yours and that they were somehow not close to you, perhaps even that they were an enemy, and that they were intruding. If you did not see your toes as a part of you, you might pick up a mace and smash them. Ouch, how quickly you would know that your toes are a part of you. You would feel the hurt. You would know that your toes were yours and yours to love as your very self.

When it comes to other people, when you have lashed out at them, it can take a long time before you feel the pain of your affront to yourself. It takes time to learn compassion. Close the gap, beloveds. Feel My love, and honor those I love.

Hurray for today! It has opened its doors for you and invited you in, and now you host the day. Treat the day as your guest. Make it welcome. Consider it. Attend to it. It is a precious thing, this gift of a day that you have before you. (HL2512)

It is certainly not so easy to close the "gab" because where to find it, but ouch! it is easy to feel Your Love and specially honor those whom You love, dear Heavenly Father.
