The View from God's Mountain
Alice to Gloria:
Gloria, I enjoyed reading the feature yesterday about orderliness. It reminded me of myself — I do better at helping others create order than I do at home for myself and family. It seems like there is never enough time to do things here. I'm a great procrastinator as well as a semi-perfectionist. I realize if I want something, need something, I will find or make the time and energy to get it done. I have been really focusing on my own health lately, and that, in itself, creates a sense of valuing myself.
So now it's on to those overflowing closets and piles of papers. It can happen!
God:
Beloved Alice, you are creating a sense of self-value. Your shifting of love to yourself shifts everything and sets much in motion. Believe it or not, even at a distance, your understanding and your self-value help Lauren shift.
None of My children exist alone. They exist with each other and with Me. That is how We are One.
You will contact Me more.
Gloria to God:
Dear God, in regard to Lauren's housekeeping, there are certainly people I know who are wonderful housekeepers, and that's a quality I admire. At the same time, many of those people are quick to see dust bunnies in someone else's house, and they compare, if not judge. I'm not a great housekeeper, and I often internally judge others' housekeeping, whereas Lauren doesn't seem to even see all the things that most of us do.
God:
You are right. Lauren doesn't just overlook in others. She doesn't see anything blocking the way of the gold in other people. She sees the gold. That's what she notices.
But for her own self, she sees all her accumulation, and it defeats her.
Yes, all she needs to do is to regard herself as she does regard others. One tiny switch in Lauren's view will unite her to Me, will heighten her acceptance of Our Unitedness.
Lauren regards Me in others but she averts looking at Me in herself. Why, if she regarded Me within herself, she might have to see her worthiness, and that would tumble her present world. Lauren sees peace as something she doesn't want.
But I want to tell her that the view from My mountain is breathtaking, and I want her right here beside Me, looking at it with Me, in My presence, maybe right in front of Me, My hands on her shoulders. Perhaps I point to the majesty of something I want her to be sure to see. Perhaps it is her reflection in a golden mirror. Perhaps I then turn her to face Me and signal her with My eyes to become One with Me in all things.
Hello, Lauren, I beckon you now. Take a little stroll with Me, and you will find yourself on the top of a shining mountain with rivulets of beauty. Your eyes will sparkle like the stars. The strands of your hair will unite the earth like furls of a wave. You will become so light, you will be like a breeze that whispers My Name.
Your stay on earth is My Will. Make it yours. Join Me in this venture, and We will turn the world upside-down. Are you willing?
Willing or not, you are not to hide any longer. Step forward. Claim yourself.
Gloria:
Dear God, I received an email from someone I know who said she's not usually comfortable in groups, and she prefers to be at activities where she has a working function, a responsibility, and not just sit there.
I have the same thing. I have often felt idle at functions and felt that I was wasting my time.
Will the time come when we feel comfortable everywhere?
God:
Whatever you feel, it's all right. Whatever you are, it's all right. Tell your friend that as well.
You just don't like sitting around.
No one wants to go through motions.
Be where your heart is.
You are not obligated to go anywhere or to enjoy anything. Go where you like. Enjoy what you enjoy. There is nothing you have to enjoy.
You don't have to watch sports. You don't have to not watch sports. You don't have to go to church. You don't have to not go to church. You don't have to go to a New Year's Eve party, and you don't have to not go.
Do what you want. Don't do what you don't want.
You need no excuse.
The only thing you have to do is come with Me. And even for that, you say when.
Of course, you can look for Me at parties. You can look to give happiness at social occasions. You can find a purpose wherever you are.
Yes, the time will come when it doesn't matter where you are or what you do — you will be so full of Me anywhere.
Gloria:
Dear God, we had a Continuing Ed Ask God workshop the other day, and, the question about where the Godwriting comes from came up. Not Godwriting in general, but specific individuals doubting their own. We have such different flavors.
God:
I assure you that it all comes from Me.
It comes to you. You receive it. You receive it in your language.
If you were a mathematician, you would have mathematical images. The truth would be the same.
When you start to worry about where My words come from, you are looking outward, not inward. Look to the world, and you will have doubt. Look to Me, and doubt can't exist. Doubt encroaches on truth. It tries to. But I am Truth. Therefore there is no doubt with Me.
Might as well doubt because you also use words in the marketplace as well as in Godwriting.
There are a million ways to doubt, and One way not to.
