The Travelers
Close your eyes and feel Me surging within you. As you sense Me, what arguments do you carry over? What is there to argue about, and with whom would you argue?
Every Human Being is a traveler with you. Travelers may or may not know their destination. They bought their tickets long ago. Now they travel on trust. Travelers deserve special consideration. They can feel lost. They disguise their feeling lost in many ways. They may assert themselves with great confidence, all because they feel lost. They may walk around proclaiming their lostness and asking for the way. All are travelers wanting to find their way. Some travelers may cling to you. Some may knock you down in their hurry to get somewhere. It means nothing, beloveds. It is not personal to you. You just happen to be there taking up space that, for a moment, other travelers may see as theirs. In fright, travelers may do many things. You, as a fellow traveler, finally catch on that you are not to take personally whatever another traveler propounds. Taking personally, which is the same as taking seriously, is a lot of huff and puff. I have observed that travelers take even political parties seriously, as if there were some kind of vendetta to act out. It is hard to believe how seriously travelers take their travels and what bones they pick.
As you travel what may seem like a long road, give every courtesy to every traveler. This is the suggestion I make. You can call it a commandment. You can call it an invitation. You can call it the rule of the land. You can call it anything you want. Find it in your heart to be nice. Be nice to your fellow travelers.
If some others want to argue with you, you don't have to argue with them. What a simple idea! If some others want to always be right, when did it become your duty to set them straight? They are trying to set you right. Are you to copy them? Keep your own stride, no matter the walk of someone beside you.
You are responsible for courtesy. You are not responsible for how someone else thinks. You are responsible for how you think. Be responsible for how you interact with fellow travelers along the way.
By and large, how you consider your fellow travelers indicates the value you put on Me. Travelers have been known to argue with Me, question Me, blame Me, try to educate Me. Why are you so surprised that other travelers sometimes do the same with you?
You may feel that you are obliged to retaliate. Retaliate to what, beloveds? To someone's flourish of the moment? To someone's need for reassurance?
Sometimes I wonder why anyone has to be sure that he is right. You live in a world of multiplicity. Give everyone a break. Let them be right if they want or need to be. The more mistaken they are, all the less reason for you to take offense.
If someone wants to call the grass blue and the sky green, what is that to you? Does it bother the grass or the sky? Does it change their appearance? How the grass and sky must laugh at such nonsense. And yet you have had a tendency to take nonsense very very seriously, as if nonsense required you to engage in a duel.
You have an invitation to engage with Me. Engage with Me rather than in arguments. How happy the world will be when no traveler has to prove he is right and another is wrong. What traveler will care when he knows He is walking with Me?
