The Subtle Rising
Arising in the morning is symbolic of your rising to Heaven. You may even feel groggy and grumpy, and still you are getting up. Little by little you wake more and more until you are sailing out the door, turning on the key in your car, and zooming off.
Every morning you arise, and you are preparing for take-off to Heaven.
You may be in a helicopter going straight up, or you may be on a glider, or you may be flying in the air like a swimmer in the ocean. You may be buffeted by the winds. You may feel you have not made progress, or much anyway, because, as in the mornings, you wake up in the same bed as you had arisen from the day before, or so you think.
Your rise to Heaven is automatic. There is no need to struggle.
When you ride on a elevator, you don’t have to jump up and down to make the elevator go, or go faster. You simply rise in the elevator. No effort is required. All you had to do was get on the elevator and push a button, and before you know it, you will arrive on the floor you wanted. Arriving so soon, you may ask: ”What floor is this?”
From your thought, your desire, half-hearted or full, you got into the elevator. And the elevator you are on is going up. Even if you somehow got on the elevator by some kind of accident or twist of fate not fully of your making, it doesn’t matter. You are riding in the elevator along with everyone else. There seems to be much jostling in this elevator, but that also doesn’t matter. The elevator is going up, and you are on it.
This is a democratic elevator. All can get on.
Beloveds, the might of My inhale sweeps you in. In the long run, you don’t have choice about this. Even if you got on kicking and screaming, you are still on it. You are rising, beloveds, with or without your foreknowledge. You ride the elevator of My heart.
Perhaps you are reading a comic book as you rise, and you aren’t paying attention to your rising. Perhaps you are a humming a tune. Perhaps you are making conversation, and before you know it, you have reached the top floor. It comes as a surprise. The elevator was so silent. You hardly knew you were going up.
Perhaps you took an express elevator. You didn’t know. You didn’t know the ride could be so fast. The thing is you got on. What the elevator looks like, how streamlined-appearing or old-fashioned, it doesn’t matter. Everyone is going to step in and ride in the elevator of My love, and everyone is going to reach the top and find themselves on a spectacular floor beyond description, higher than your high hopes, much higher. Of course, then you will spot another elevator to climb into, but that is another story to be told another time.
Right now you are riding in a splendid elevator. Do you begin to feel the subtle rising? The only question is, Do you feel it? There is no question but that you are rising. When you stop reading your comic book for a moment, or stop looking at your watch, do you feel it? Do you begin to sense this upward motion lifting you higher?
