The Silence Within (#3568)

Dear Gloria, when you use the word "drama" in this HL

"Nothing is permanent but the you of you and the I of I, which, unbelievable as it is to you, are One and the Same. And yet while you sojourn on Earth, you are nimble, and you enter into the hop, skip, and jump of life with all your heart. Of course, you do. You are an active participant in the drama, and you play your role well. All the while, I observe, and I am the Silence within you, giving My whole heart to you who gives your whole heart to the drama in life, and, to Me. We are a whirl of paint in many colors, and yet We are not whirled at all. The whirling is the drama, not the actuality."

"And so you are immersed and enmeshed in a grid of drama on the screen, and you are pulled like taffy this way and that."

do you use it in the general sense of "action", "theatre" or do you stress the "tragic" or serious aspect of a drama? In Greek, drama means "act" in a more general sense and it comes from the earlier idea of "to work". In french, it usually refers to a tragedy.

The Silence Within (BIS)

"Surely all this that seems to go on around you is a fantasy, and too often a fantasy of errors. The Truth is no fantasy, beloveds.

The Truth is a different Reality altogether. It is the Only Reality, if Truth be known. Let Truth be known. Let it be known as it is. Truth is not a traveler. Truth is a permanent resident, and it lives in your heart. Your heart may feel wear and tear, yet there is no wear and tear in Truth. Truth is truly where it is at.
"
I am not sure of the meaning of this "if". Does it have the meaning of "when" in this context? "It is the Only Reality, when the Truth is known"?

Muchas gracias.

Since in German "drama" is

Since in German "drama" is not usually associated with "tragedy" (but can be), I don't feel it is in this Heavenletter. But then, I have not read it yet in its entirety. From my own experience with translations, "drama" usually simply means "dramatic action" or "imagined dramatic action" and often simply. "exaggeration."

"If truth be known" is not much different from "to tell the truth" or simply "in truth". I ran a search for the expression, and here is what I got:

Thanks Jochen I would also

Thanks Jochen
I would also be inclined to use it in the general sense of act, action, theater, though in some HL, drama is referring more directly to 'tragedy' [like in so many operas... Wagner perhaps :) ]

Beloved Normand, in the

Beloved Normand, in the general sense. Drama as story. Not tragedy. Interestingly, the Heavenletter written down yesterday is all about story as our fictionalized lives on Earth. Our bios are fiction. Our vital statistics are fiction, God says in the Heavenletter written down yesterday.
