There is no closer to Me, you do understand that, don't you? You cannot be closer to Me than you are. Any seeming distance between us is from interference that you have accepted. Take the responsibility. Whatever factors have contributed, you are the one who has looked away.

Although I may say to you, "Come to Me", I am saying, "Come back to Me". More literally, I am saying, "Look at Me". I am saying, "Lift up your eyes unto Mine". I am saying, "Gaze at Me, for I nourish your soul". I am saying, "The light of My eyes connects with the light of yours". I am also saying, "There is nowhere else to look". I am saying, "There is nothing to look at, and nothing to see".

Even so, I am all the while gazing at you. Never for one minute do I take My eyes off you. My gaze is like the sun. My gaze penetrates. My gaze is more than skin-deep. My gaze rests on the heart of you. Our souls touch. Our love becomes clear. We eclipse all time. Centuries and moments are nonexistent when We look into each other's eyes. Our Oneness includes the Oneness of eternity. There is no time, so We accomplish everything in no time at all.

In fact, there isn't even anything to do. And if there were, We have eternity to do it in.

Love isn't doing, and yet love is Our occupation. Nothing else is. Love is between Us, and yet there is no between. Love is everything, and it is nothing at all. And you are everything to Me.

What else is there except you and Me? We are We. We are the Oneness of Existence. We are all of it. Nothing else is.

We are Partners, and there is no escape clause. Let Us be amiable. In word and deed, let Us be what We are. Let Us not depart in imagination from the Truth of Our Oneness. We belong with one another, and yet how can We say that We, Who are never apart, belong? We can never not belong. That is like saying My heart belongs with My heart. My heart IS My heart. And yet I gave My heart to you, and My heart beats within your chest. We beat the same tattoo.

How can We long so much for each other, We Who are never apart? That is the mystery of life, none other.

And have you not experienced not seeing what is right in front of you? Have you not tripped over the obvious? Trip over Me all you want, and you will not stumble. Whether you know where I am or not, it makes no difference at all, and yet your awareness makes all the difference in the world.

That you are never without Me means you are always with Me, as I am with you.

We circle the universe, you and I. Our one heart spins, and We spin the universe.

There is no place you have not been, and there is no one you are not. There is no one who is not you.

There is no brother, no sister. There is only you and there is only I, and We are One. No one and nothing stand outside Us, the Oneness of Us. In Our Oneness, We are free. Freedom does not exist outside Us, for there is no outside for it to exist in. Love, Truth, Beauty are the different names for the same Oneness of Us, the same beautiful Oneness of all beings who bear different names, all aliases, for We are nameless. Our identity is beyond name. We need no identification. Identification pretends to separate Oneness, but Oneness can never separate from Itself. Why try?
