The Library of Your Heart

God said:

You see that no one escapes trouble, beloveds. And, yet, trouble is a concept.

What is big difficulty to one may be small to another. What is big to you today may be small to you tomorrow. When you look down the sight of a long rifle, trouble doesn't make so much of itself. It does not become the star. Put trouble in its place. It is a bit player. It does not take over the studio. Trouble is not to be the center of your life. Something with that name may tag along, but it doesn't belong at the forefront.

Troubles of the world may seem like an odd thing for Me to talk about, for, of course, it is better to rise above trouble. Of course, it is better to take what is seen as trouble in your stride and let it be a stepping stone. There is another side to every stone, and you can turn a stone over. Of course it is better not to accumulate trouble and pile it up in your mind. Troubles are not to be counted, one after another and held onto. If you must count, count yourself fortunate that you drop off troubles by the wayside. They have their span. Leave them. Step over them. Do not court them. Do not despise them either. Troubles can keep talking and building themselves up, while you can nod and tip your hat and keep going.

Trouble is not a house to dwell in. There is another side of the river to go to. There is another view. There is another perception and another and another.

Life is something like playing hopscotch. You stand on one foot. You hop from one square to another. The chalk on the sidewalk does not last forever.

When you feel troubled, it is your heart that feels. Your mind reminds you of it, yet your heart experiences it. Get the concept of trouble out of your mind. If you would live in that moment which is, in actuality, Eternity, what would you know of troubles? They would not get a foothold. They would pass you on the street, and so they would have passed, and you would be further along.

Heartache is not to be held onto. It must be let go of. It cannot be harbored. It is not a badge to wear. You are not to keep it. You are to release yourself from it.

Loss is a concept, beloveds. When you recognize that there is no ownership, what does loss become then? It is better to not hold on so tight. All is on loan to you, beloveds, and yet the love that connects you to what you may even see as loss is never withdrawn. When you take out a library book, you read it. When you take the book back, it is only the pages and binding that go back. The contents are still yours. The story touched you, and you keep the story. You keep it in the library of your heart. And so is love returned and yet always kept.

It has been said: Into each life, a little rain must fall. Say instead, as I do say to you, beloveds: Into each life comes sunshine. Is that not true? Keep that thought in your pocket. Sunshine not only comes into your life, it follows you. When it is night, the sun shines nevertheless, and, then, at night anyway, the moonlight is over your shoulder.

Beloveds, this is a wonderful world you live in. Acknowledge its wonder, and the wonder is yours. Never let it go.
