Time and time again you are surprised when other people do not think the same way you do. You are astonished. From presumption comes your surprise. You cannot really predict other people, so why do you try? You presume they run in a certain vein, and now you find they run in another.

Intellectually, you know it is better not to assume when it comes to other people. They are not always one way. One day they like tuna and another day they don't. They may pick at life, or jab at it, but you are not the predictor of what another does or what they see or what they choose. You are a neutral onlooker. It has to be all the same to you, dear ones.

People have surprised you both positively and negatively. Sometimes they appeared less than you thought and sometimes more wonderful than you could ever imagine. In either case, they did not meet your expectations. You have no reason to expect.

You have also made some assumptions about yourself that are not so. Yet it is a good idea to make some assumptions about yourself. Make some positive ones, and then move into them.

Even when you don't believe it, assume that you are a strong soul on earth. That, of course, is the reality. I did not put the weak on earth, although there are those of you who have assumed that you were weak rather than strong. Once you latch on to the idea of your strength, you will find more of it rising to the surface. It was always there.

Strength is depending upon yourself more than you do others.

You know better than to depend upon others to execute your will. You learn that time and time again. You learn that it is better to not try to match your will with another's. They have theirs; you have yours. Freewheeling are they, and freewheeling are you.

When it comes to your conception of My Will and yours, remind yourself to make your will big enough, and then yours and Mine will more closely adhere. This is not sacrifice. It is not sacrifice to draw your will towards a greater vision.

You and I want good, but you may see only certain avenues that qualify. You already know that your staying attached to everything as it is is not My Will. Although you have My full attention, My vision exceeds yours, for I always see wholeness, and you do not yet always. Our desires are the same, but the working out of them may not be. You may have thought I must not only adhere to your will but also to your schedule. It is not so much patience that you are to learn as it is a greater way of looking.

Here are assumptions that are true and good for you to make:

I, God, am always on your side. And you may not always understand what is to your benefit and what is not.

I, God, am always here for you. And you may not understand Me, but I always understand you.

I am the only thing in the world you can hold on to. I am the Love you receive, and I am the Love you give. There is no other. The love you call personal is only a particle.

The relative life is not all there is to life. There is much more, and you don't want to miss it.

You are far more than this Human being you think you are. You are made of the same ingredients as the stars. Look how far their light reaches.
