The Emergence of Love
As you learn to appreciate, your appreciation grows. Appreciation needs to grow. Discernment is not better than appreciation.
Begin with appreciating your life. That you have it, that it was given to you, that you are the holder of it. You were given a beautiful musical instrument with many chords, and you are learning how to play the high notes. To do this, first it is necessary to appreciate sound.
Consider life an instrument you are learning to play. You continue to refine your appreciation of this powerful instrument. You learn to play it for all. Even in the solitude of your room, you are playing this instrument for the sake of the universe.
Life is not a tool but an instrument. Tools are used and put aside, but this fine instrument is to be held like a rare violin in high regard. You are, in fact, part of an orchestra. All the musicians are learning to play. No matter how advanced, they all are refining their ability to pluck the strings of the universe.
From discordant notes, you go on to pure resonance.
The instrument you play is a pure singing crystal bowl, and you are learning how to strike it.
Learning in life is equivalent to appreciating more. Appreciation is a great skill to develop. Appreciation strikes the right note.
Practice your scales. Sing your heart out. Let each word from your mouth be a pure note of truth.
Imagine that there are tuned strings winding around the universe, and you are the player of them. You pluck the strings, and all the chordant notes reverberate off one another. The world closes its eyes and takes in your music.
You are a tuning fork.
You are a bell-ringer.
You are a singer. How powerful is the sound of your voice! How unending! How it spirals! It crosses rivers and mountains. It knows no boundaries. The note you sing never stops. There is a crescendo of your music alighting on every point of the world.
There is no absence of sound in the forest. There is music. Leaves rustle. Wind blows. And then there is the hush in between. Perhaps silence is the loudest note you play. Perhaps music takes place only between the notes. Appreciate the silence, and venture across it.
This silence will take you somewhere. It is a portal, this silence. Through it you play greater music and your appreciation is greater.
You are a minstrel across the universe.
You play a magic flute. Do you hear it? Listen. Crank up the melodeon.
Your ribs play an accordion. Your feet drum. Your hands are cymbals. Your eyes are the sweet notes of triangles. Your hair is a harp. Your ears are amplifiers of the silent music your life creates.
You walk on music. You ride an elevator of music. Trains and trolleys are all music. Hustle and bustle is music.
Begin to appreciate the universe as music. Surely life is an opera.
You may sing an aria to no one, and yet the whole world hears it. Your music reaches everywhere. Hear it too. Hear the song you sing.
Robins sing your song back to you. The wings of birds take your music with them. All of nature harks to your music.
There is no other voice in the whole of nature that sings like you. You are unique. How can there be so many sweet sounds in the universe? But there are. Appreciate that you are one of them. Appreciate your song.
Your music has been recorded, and it plays for all time. You cannot stop singing, so let the song of your life be heard. Be sure you hear it. You will rise to a mountaintop. Your sweet music will proclaim the emergence of love upon the face of the earth.
