One thought leads to another. Some you forget. What have you forgotten? Only a thought. Thoughts come and go. Let them go. You don't need all of them. Yet you tend to think you must keep all of them.

If you feel you must work on improving your memory, would you not, at the same time, consider learning how to let go of so much thinking? Thoughts are not concrete. They are not meant to be stockpiled. Thoughts are meant to be let go of! Keep your mind, but let go of its rampant well-turned-over thoughts.

Keep your heart's wits about you, and your heart will spill love unceasingly. Regardless of anything, love is to be given. The way a stream must flow, so must your heart. A stream and your heart have the same nature.

One wonderful thing about the vastness of love We speak of is that it needs not a cause. It needs no reason, no justification, no qualification, no sequence, no objectivity. It is its own glory. It is what it is. Love is what your heart longs to do. Love is enough. There is to be no tempering or measuring of it. Let your heart just pour it.

What you may have done, My beloveds, is to find reasons not to love. And so you may have wound up the love in your heart and called the heart's objection to this desecration heartache or heartburn.

When your heart burns with love, it is does not have pain. Love does not cause pain. Love doesn't know pain. How could it when love flows.

What on Earth would be worth obstructing the natural love that your heart beats? Why would anyone restrain his heart or another's and prevent love from flourishing? Open your heart the same way a woman lets her long hair down. She takes pins out and lets her hair fall the way it naturally falls. Now, isn't that better?

Or open your heart the way you open an umbrella. You just open it. Of course, with the heart, it never was meant to be closed. Left to its own devices, the heart is always open. Your mind has convinced your heart that it is vulnerable. Unlike an umbrella, your true heart doesn't attempt to keep anything off. Your heart welcomes with open arms. Your heart opens to love, and the whole of the universe rushes to fill it. As quickly as you give your love, love rushes in, and, so then, so then, your heart, vessel of love, is never emptied. But you have stepped in and snipped your heart. Don't tell Me you haven't.

Giving love is like breathing. It is a natural state. You don't have to DO it or make a production of it. You just have to leave it alone. Inhaling and exhaling go on by themselves. Most of the time, you don't even think about breathing in or breathing out. It is a natural function. And so is the heart's.

Let love be like that. Let love be free like that, free to breathe, let loose and unrestrained. Release love the way you release thoughts. You can't keep all your love any more than you can keep all your thoughts. You can't keep love at all. It must be disbursed or your heart will burst.

The joy of the Human heart cannot be compressed. You are not meant to economize with the love in your heart. You are meant to nourish the universe with it. You are meant to nourish yourself with it. You are meant to nourish everything with the beautiful love from your heart. Let your thoughts of love become more than thoughts.
