Speak Your Truth
Ruth to God:
Dear God, thank You very much for Your answer to me about healing, which I will keep in my mind from now on. I do have another question.
You said that I have a lot to give, and I need to give more to myself. I do not know what I could possibly give myself, as I feel so blessed with so much already.
I also wonder what else I could be giving to others in my community, and to my family. In the past I have had a tendency to do the co-dependent thing, and am trying to learn not to do that. I am actually saying no to people who want my time, which makes me feel bad, but I still say no, in order not to overextend myself.
I sure could use some clarification on all this. Is it ok for me to ask You?
In gratitude and love, your daughter.
God to Ruth:
Dear beloved daughter, ask Me any question you wish.
Your question today includes the answer.
Do not overextend. Do not feel bad.
Remember Who it is you serve.
It is not the community and not your family.
You serve Me.
Just bear that in mind, dear Ruth.
My recent answer to Diane could be to you as well.
You serve Me well well-rested.
You serve Me well in joy and not in responsibility.
You owe nothing to the universe, dear Ruth.
You owe to yourself.
You do not owe to Me in the sense of obligation, but you pay yourself well with Me.
Your question has often been: What more shall I do now?
Veer your question more to being than doing.
You don't need to be so busy.
Be more often.
Be the radiating light.
How does a light light?
It doesn't rush to every corner.
It stays where it is and lights every corner.
If you had a young person under your wing now, for a week, let's say, and you were to teach them how to live life, what would you want them to learn? What would you say to guide them in life? What would be the ten most important things you would wish to convey? What would the three most important things be? To the best of your ability, make these answers from your own heart and present awareness and not from past learning. From present learning. From your heart, from your blessed heart.
Guide yourself the same way.
You might want to share what you arrive at with Heavenreaders. You don't have to; you might want to.
How to not feel bad when you say no to someone? Feel good instead. Being in your truth feels good. Saying your truth feels good. And it sets a good example for others.
Let others soak up your light, but not consume your energy. You reflect your light. You bestow it. But others want more of you. Could you ever give enough? When is it time for you, My blessed Ruth?
You are right that you are blessed with so much.
Remember that you have nothing to catch up to.
You are at a stage of life to receive.
What is it that you have to receive?
Receive more space in your life, Ruth.
Easy does it.
And as for your family, keep loving them as you are, and, in your heart, refer them to Me.
Gloria:
Dear God, I read Ruth's question, and when I consider what I am going to ask you now, I feel small, but here it is.
Someone recently, in a sort of public situation, anonymously left me a note criticizing me on how I folded something. It is all so shallow, so insignificant, and it made me SO ANGRY. I cannot remember when I have been so outright angry. It is such a shallow matter, and yet here I am, livid. So who is shallow? Am I just as shallow as they seem? They are judging me, and I sure am judging them back.
Mentally I have been writing them the rudest notes I can think of. I know this situation is not worthy of my attention, and yet here I am.
God, how does a Godwriter like me, so involved with You, get so embroiled in smallness? Rather, how do I get out of it?
God:
What do you choose? Check one.
___ a. You never go back.
___ b. You go back angry.
___ c. You don't go back and laugh at them and yourself.
___ d. You go back and laugh at them and yourself.
Gloria:
I would choose d. But I'm not laughing.
God:
You do not have to get angry on demand, you know.
What did I tell AJ about seriousness?
It doesn't get the results you want.
This is not tragedy.
This is a funny story.
Isn't this a funny story, Gloria?
Does the writer of this note really have such power over you that she can ruin your life?
Is your life ruined if you go back or don't go back?
Is your life ruined if you fold more neatly or not?
Well, I shall laugh for the both of Us.
Do you feel better now?
Gloria:
Yes, I do. Thank You! God, you are truly a miracle worker!
NOTE: Ruth is very active in her community. — Gloria
