So long, dear Larry

If you have been reading the Godwriting blog, www.godwriting.org, you know about a wonderful couple from Montana who had sponsored a Godwriting workshop in Great Falls, Montana, and who drove up on their Harley to visit me in Fairfield, Iowa, just a few weeks ago, and so you have a little introduction to Larry and Carol. Here's the exact link if you haven't already read it:

Carol called me today with the sad news that Larry died in an accident today.

We all know that there is no such thing as death, and that must be why it seems so unreal to us because it is unreal. At the same time, we Human Beings would rather that our friends would stay on Earth right where we want them.

Well, Larry, we had some good times together. I thank you for flying me in your plane and for showing me Yellowstone Park. I thank you for coming to visit here and for taking me to the Lincoln Museum. I thank you for all your generosity and for the chance I had to get to know you. I'm going to miss you, Larry.

Carol, you were married forty-five years. What a tribute that is to both of you.

You know how sorry I am, and we're going to be in touch a lot, you and I.

God bless you always.

With love, Gloria

Larry took great stock in

Larry took great stock in his horoscope in our local paper -- today's says something about the great conversations he'll be having this evening. I know our son, who passed in '04, and Larry's younger brother who died in '95 as well as his Dad are all giving him the "grand tour." I am doing fine -- I am always great under pressure. But I do know what's coming, having been through it just three years ago when we lost Terry. I was flown to Seattle (where it happened) by one of Larry's dear friends. Our daughter, son in law and granddaughter live here and two of my siblings and Larry had just had a nice weekend visiting lifetime friends.
Grief is a difficult terrain to negotiatiate. But I know God will see me through and there will still be good times in my life until Larry and I are together again. Pray for his friends, many of whom have few friends. He was a friend to the friendless and always expressed amazement by how many people loved him. Where he is now he will be able to know how truly he is loved.

Thank you all for surrounding me with peace and love. God will see me through, and Heavenletters and Gloria are such a great help.

Love,
Carol

Dearest Carol, you and Larry

Carol, I hold you, Larry and all of your family and friends in the Heart of the One. I know that Larry and his family and friends where he now lives are merging with us in the unity of the Divine that we all know so well. In your message above, you said that you are in Seattle. I am on Lopez Island simply a few hours and a ferry ride away from where you are right now. If you feel the need of a *Heavenletter* companion, please feel free to call upon me. My phone number is 360.303.0782.

Dearest Gloria, I did read

Dearest Gloria, I did read the posting on the Godwriting blos just a few days ago and couldn't believe you really meant this Larry. Your posting was so full of love and entusiastic about them both, I'm glad that you did have this wonderful friendship.
We are never ready for when our near and dear ones turn into the loving arms of God, although we really never leave His arms. Even if I don't know Larry and Carol, they seem to me very sweet and gentle souls.
I'd like to ask you to give dear Carol a dear and loving embrace.

Love
Berit

I saw the photo with Larry

I saw the photo with Larry and Carol on the Harley. Oh Carol, I'm so sorry for Larry...He was such a good-looking, kind-hearted, genetous, adventurous and funny man! It must have been a pure delight to live beside him for 45 years.....I wish I could do or say something that would make you feel better.

I'm sure Larry is free and happy now, yet concerned about how his loving wife is doing.Too bad I never met this beautiful angel! I wonder in what sign he was born.He feels so Sagittarius, so bright and breezy judging by the photo...

Yes, time is an illusion but it will help Carol overcome the sorrow and get on her life with Larry's spirit by her side.

All my love to Carol......

Maria
