1) In 2014, I learned to subtitle and produce videos. Here is the summary of self-empowerment process I used.

Most modern computers have installed an application that allows subtitling and produce video. This is the Windows Live Movie Maker. You can download the Movie Moker web,
2) I searched and found in the public domain music site. In my country I accessed the site http://www.dominiopublico.gov.br/pesquisa/PesquisaObraForm.jsp
3) I searched and found sites with photos and public domain images:

http://pixabay.com/
4) I used reason and sensibility to choose photos, images, music, animation and visual effects. I learned to make and post videos on YouTube.
5) I was very happy to get caption, produce and put videos at this point of my life.

You are like a pioneer. Nothing stops you. You have the desire, and you have the energy.
Thank goodness we learned to use the computer! I thank my lucky stars for that. It was seemingly by chance, I learned. Someone who could pay me for a service invited me to come to her house in the mornings when she was at work to use her computer, and I did. It was a little Mac, the screen was very small, I'm remembering like eight inches. Anyway, that was my start.
What I learn, Nelia, I learn and I know it, yet I just know what I know. And what I don't know is hard for me to understand. I just don't speak the computer language. I just learn each thing but don't know how to apply it to the next.
And there you are forging ahead like a house afire.

What did you teach, Nelia? I too was a teacher of English and creative writing. Now I'm more of a learner. I mean I keep learning from life and people far more than I study anything.
What I've been doing in this life until I retire?
I taught French to students of junior high school. After I taught students of pedagogy in university. So I started to teach research, statistics and legislation in education. never did computer or multimedia. I taught myself these disciplines
