What It Means to Serve
From what do you flee? Knowledge of yourself? Is that why you run around so much and involve yourself so much in others' lives? What are you afraid of finding out? Are you afraid to find out that you are a Holy Being established in Truth? Or that you are not the blessedness I attest that you are? What do you run away from?
You may complain about the rat race, yet you are not confined to it. When you run around so much, there is something you are running away from. When you are not at peace, you are fleeing something.
Being Does Not Own
Feel what peace is like. You can have it now. Feel it, and you have it.
When you love, when you truly love from your heart as love loves, then you are at peace.
As you hear Me say that, you may sit up straight and say that isn't so, that you have much anxiety concerning love, that you have perhaps most of your anxiety concerning love in one form or another.
Who Is Being Realistic Now?
When you say that life is hard, what you are really saying is that life does not always give you what you want or what you demand and insist on. Demand and insist all you want, and you show your belief in winning, and you show your belief in losing as well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. When you venture, the venturing is your gain. That you applied yourself is your gain. In the going for, you gain.
When you can accept that life does not have to deliver what you order, how hard will life be then?
What if everything is all right as it is, even when it doesn't live up to your desires?
The Cry of the Meadowlark or Nightingale
Whatever another does, no matter how it may seem to impact you, it is their privilege to do as they see to do. You may feel that someone has let you down. Beloveds, when you feel that way, you have let yourself down. Did you take on what someone else chooses to do as though it were your own responsibility? Did you make a portion of your life dependent upon what someone else chooses when all of your life is dependent upon you? Better to not make or allow anyone else to be the sayer of how you react in your life or any portion of it.
