? re: promoting...

Hi Gloria and Heavin Admin. Is it breaking the rules to say in a post?:

"Go visit my really cool web site. Click on my highlighted name which will take you to my profile and then click on my web site which will take you to my way cool, one of a kind, wonderful website."

Just wondering...Jimi and Jim.

Yes, beloved Jim and Jimi,

Yes, beloved Jim and Jimi, it is promoting. Of course, you are devoted to Heavenletters, and you regularly post here, and I would love to say yes to you. I never want to say no to you about anything ever. Yet if it's okay for you to direct people to your site, then anyone who wants to has to have that privilege as well, including people who might come here for that sole purpose alone. I have deleted such postings on this forum and on the blog from people who have no interest in Heavenletters and want people to go to their casino site etc, all the things that we get enough of in our inbox.

Did you see Heaven Admin's recent post? He has a simple solution:

On July 3rd, 2009 Heaven Admin says:

We do have a profile page where there is a field for website url. When someone is interested in reading more about a member of this site, they can click on the username.

Click on "My Account" and then "Edit" to update your profile.

One Love

The key here, to my mind, is the freedom that Heaven Admin's suggestion gives. Heavenreaders are savvy. If someone wants to go to someone's site, they will.

Again, dear Jim, if it were possible to make exceptions, you would be the first one I would make. You have selflessly given so much to this forum. You deserve everything you would ever want.

God bless you.

With love,

Gloria

Gosh Gloria

I said Gosh, cause I really like the sound of that word and it goes so well with your name, Gloria. Gosh! Thank you for the explanation Gloria.

What if I said?:

"Check out peoples profiles which list web sites they may have, which you are invited to visit...including mine".
Jim. (This actually was written by Jimi who thinks that rules are somewhat elastic. I tried to explain it to him too...just like you did...but you know how kids are! But actually, Jimi is quite kind and is a loving joy to be with)

No, dear. No. No. No. Sit

No, dear. No. No. No.

Sit Jimi on your lap, give him hugs and kisses, and explain to him.

Love, Gloria
