NO: 3673

DEAR ALL,
NO: 3673 is another wonderful Heavenletter. While I was translating it, the top of my head was itching; there was such a nice feeling and warmth through all of my body:)))

On the other hand I could not figure out the part below:

.....THE BETTER TO SEE YOU WITH .... ????????????

"Even while you are accomplishing the humdrum, you can turn on My light, the better to see you with.

What is the meaning of the part that says "THE BETTER TO SEE YOU WITH"..

Thanks

Be the torch bearer of

Be the torch bearer of Heaven. What else do you really have to do? What pulls you away?

You have a million excuses. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you can be the torch bearer of Heaven. Go public with your light. You will light up the world. You will light up your life. Even while you are accomplishing the humdrum, you can turn on My light, the better to see you with.

Beloved Engin, this Heavenletter is about light, and when the light is on, the more clearly we see, of course, and also the more clearly we are seen.

Of course, it's good to stay as close to the original as possible, but if, in translating, this phrase does not work for you, then maybe just omit the phrase.

Again, I realize that translators walk on a tightrope!

Dearest Gloria,

thank you very much - it was the solution that I found too.

On the other hand the rope is not too tight :))) Sometimes (classical and limited) grammar rules that I know make me confused... Turkish and English are very different from each other..bla bla bla :)))))))
