New on the forum, but could not resist sharing my latest "miracle"
The night Hurricane Irene slowly passed Baltimore, we caught the worst damage from the back end of the storm. The winds were much stronger and the rain was harder. My area is full of oak trees that are over 100 years old. Huge old oaks everywhere. 4 on my property alone.
After the "worse of the storm was over" as proclaimed on TV- 2:30am - no water in basement, no trees down, things looking good, I laid on my bed to watch some TV and relax.
No sooner than I laid down then the wind picked up something fierce. Now, it had been raining for almost 12 hours by this time. Trees don't like wet earth and wind. Nope, not at all.
So, my prayers to my angels for additional protection started. In fact, I suggested they each take a tree and keep them upright. When the wind started blowing even HARDER, I requested backup from ArchAngel Michael. Soon as that prayer was formed, I heard a boom, felt a crash and all lights went out!
Street was pitch black. Wind still blowing. I was very shaken and knew the tree was on the house, just no way to assess the damage as of yet.
When we got all the oil lamps and candles light, we took a flashlight and ventured into the attic. No rain coming in, no sign of the tree. Good Sign!
So, now we waited till daybreak. Around 6:30am, the phone rang - it was my neighbor who woke up and saw the tree on my roof. The tree had fallen from her side of the street.
Looked out of my bedroom window, the branches were less than 12" from my window.
In the basement- the branches were less than 2" from the windows!
Took till the next day (Monday) to get a tree company to remove the tree so our power could be restored. When the branches were removed, not a single shingle on the roof was damaged. NO damage at all! The tree canopy covered my entire roof from the kitchen, through the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Fully half of the house! NO Damage. My neighbors could not believe that there was no damage. I could believe it and was quite grateful. It looked like there SHOULD have been a hole in the roof!
So, my gratitude and appreciation to my angels as well as ArchAngel Michael.
as an addendum, my daughter woke up around 2:30am- looked outside and saw furniture flying around, thought about our TREES and started to pray for our safety.
