There may be a question of translating in the a Heavenletter written May 2, 2015, as yet unnumbered that is entitled A Replay of Something in the Past This may be a colloquial expression that every one knows. In case it isn't. I'd like to note the meaning here ahead of time.
The last sentence of the Heavenletter is:
No matter who seems to come out ahead, there is no winner and no cigar.
Just in case this is a Heavenletter you might be translating, and you wonder about its meaning, there is no winner and no cigarr, it simply means you don't win a prize or really gain anything even when you seem to win. . It could be there is a similar expression in many or most languages? .
