What is so terrible in the fact that you are not perfectly realized as yet? Is this a crime you have committed, that you are human?

On one hand, you may have little regard for yourself and let yourself be discouraged so easily by almost anything. On the other hand, at the same time, you may also like to consider yourself the cat’s pajamas. You alternate between extremes. You are on top of the world, or you dwell on your imperfections. Be imperfect then. Be perfectly imperfect. Honor yourself. Don’t fall into traps of your own making.

You don’t have to rest on your laurels, nor do you have to try to be perfect. You are perfect now as you are, and yet you have room to grow. It is natural to grow. You don’t have to shackle yourself in order to grow. You do not have to run a gauntlet. You certainly don’t have to set up the gauntlet you run through.

You could make yourself a welcome guest on Earth. You can be hospitable to yourself.

When someone makes a remark that does not suit you, you don’t have to be dismayed. You may well have a lot to learn from this dismaying person, and yet you don’t have to run across coals. You can be sympathetic to yourself as well as to another. You belong where you are. You have every right to be here.

Of course, the truth is that you are established in My heart. And yet, on more than one occasion, you have become dismayed at something I may have said. The case is, sometimes but not always, the more you resist, the more you need to hear. You do not want to dismiss out of hand what I say.

What do you want to teach others? What do you want others to learn from you? Perhaps you think I find fault with you. If you find fault with Me, why would you? If I tell you to stop biting your fingernails, must you be so sensitive? Must you become overwrought with what I say?

I would love to see you recognize the power of appreciation. In some circles, this is called gratitude. I would like to call it awareness. Of course, you are going to become more aware. You haven’t thought you were on top of everything, have you?

There is no need for you to agree with everything I say. There is also no need for you to refute what I say either. You, who object to fault, are not required to prove yourself right and, therefore, that I am mistaken and need to change My views. If the shoe fits, wear it. If the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it. It is not for you to waste your time in arguments.

Where We abide, you and I, is not in the intellect. We are not an intellectual pursuit. We are awareness, and We are awareness in the heart. Logic falls apart. Logic cannot go all the way. Logic is based on a premise that you can argue one level on another level. In fact, you will do well to escape from logic. Logic has a narrow view and can go only so far.

You can go everywhere. Logic can only take you so far. It is better for you to be imperfect than to convince yourself that you know everything. Above all, why would you defend yourself to Me when I, most of all, love you as you are? I do not overlook you. I never take My heart off you.
