Like Musical Chairs
When your very foundation is shaken, how do you know that this is not a good thing? Maybe your foundation is a tree that needs shaking, and now you will have greater access to the fruit.
Life is a shaking up, beloveds. It shakes your inherited beliefs. It shakes your view of the world and your place in it. What you call upheaval, upset, disturbance, aggravation may be the stirring of great new adventure.
Perhaps it is better to depend on other things rather than what you have been depending on.
Maybe your house has to be rebuilt, or you have to move. What if what occurs is not adversity but rather a friendly shove? Maybe it is a friendly hand that turns your life upside down. Maybe it is making your life right-side up.
Maybe life is a rattle, and it is good to shake it. Shake, shake, shake.
Maybe life is a milkshake. A milkshake doesn’t make you uncomfortable. You don’t mourn the demise of ice cream when it becomes a shake. Maybe it is time now for you -- not to make the best of things -- but to enjoy wherever you are, no matter what is occurring.
Who is to say that happiness has to be in one place and not another? Who is to say that happiness has to be corralled? Who is to say that all corrals are not OK? Who is to say that it is not time for you to move on? Who is to say that you do not have greater exploring to do?
No longer think of life’s happenings as reward nor punishment. Just think of life as life, a panorama that stretches out before you. You are a wave of the Ocean, and waves are happy being waves no matter where the tide takes them. Waves do not object. They just continue on being happy waves. Have you seen an unhappy wave?
Do not think I am telling you to settle in life. That’s what you have been doing. It’s just that you settled on one thing, and not another. The house you built may be ramshackle, yet you were accustomed to living in it. You became attached to it just the way it was. Attachment is the key word here. The life you were living had handcuffed you to it. Rather, you handcuffed yourself to it.
Even on Earth, your Father’s house has many mansions. And you have many choices. Sometimes you get your first choice, and sometimes you don’t. When you live in the palace at the top of the hill, even so, it can be a wonderful thing to move to another location. Life on Earth is about movement, beloveds. There is no staying the same, at least, not for long. There is Eternity, beloveds, but there is no forever, for forever is a measurement in time. You live in one place so long as you live there.
Consider life musical chairs, if you like. You can’t keep the same chair, yet in this version, no one is outside the game of life. There is always a floor to sit on. Things do not have to be arranged the way you prefer. Deep within you, there may be a different orchard for you to pick fruit in. You may think change has been foisted on you, yet you cannot say with certainty that you did not plan the unplanned. You cannot say with certainty that you did not expect the unexpected. You cannot say with certainty what is best and what is not. Take the attitude that whatever is happening now, it is best, or, it is, at least, all right.
Stars don’t mind being in night skies. Whether the Moon hangs high or low in the sky, the Moon is happy.
Beloveds, in perceived rain or perceived shine, you can be like the Moon and the Stars, for, in reality, you are, and all My love is yours.
