Let Your Thoughts Be a High-Water Mark
The world turns, and so your physicality is moved every moment. And your awareness changes as well. Life is a diamond that you look at from every angle. It doesn't look at you. It is beheld by you.
Your life passes before you. And you catch portions of it. And so the world revolves, and you evolve. You never stop.
In this growth, you do not elongate yourself. You widen your vision. That is your growth.
You begin to see. And as you evolve, you are less immersed and more helpful.
Over-involvement is something you have held dear. Much of your implicating yourself in the world has been stringent. You leaped into the middle of a skirmish and tried to rearrange the confluencies of it, of life, as though you were the one turning it, as if it were up to you, as if you had to houseclean madly. How self-righteous you were when you got in there and tried to rearrange or assault the universe!
You pushed your shoulder against the wheel of life. You tried to change everything. Perhaps some of the issues you got your teeth into were a way to focus your attention away from yourself. You thought it was easier to rearrange the world than to raise your height. It is not that you thought you were infallible; you perhaps thought you were too fallible and tried to make up for it.
Bewildered you, you have tried to achieve a balance between the world and yourself. Sometimes you have entered in to it to a great extent, and sometimes you have held the world at bay and had as little to do with it as possible. You have jumped in, or you have stayed away.
A weaver weaves, and he may weave fast, but you do not see him hurrying. As he weaves, he weaves a sense of peace. You were designed to be a weaver of peace. You were not presented on earth for upheaval.
You do not have to tell the world all its faults. You do not have to take it by the throat and create uproar. Bless the world, and its faults will be fewer. Bless yourself the same.
Raise your sights higher, and the world rises with you.
Let your thoughts be like a high-water mark. As the water rises, so will all that drifts.
From where an orchestra conductor stands, he directs the music, but he is not the one who presses the notes. He leads, and others follow. He does not hit the musicians with his baton. He waves the musicians to greater heights. He loves music, and his simple embrace of the soul of the music before him raises the consciousness of the players of the music.
Consider all in life as musicians, and uplift them. Heretofore, you learned more about putting down than lifting up. You learned well from those around you who did not know better.
But you know better, and so now you uplift the world and its inhabitants. You do that by looking higher, that's all. Where you look, others' eyes will follow.
While you are at it, you might as well look up at Me, for I am the Highest. You will find your water mark where I am, and you will rise to it. Do not tear life apart, and do not settle for it either. Just get up. Rise higher. Come to where you want to be, and that is where I am.
