Inconsistancy concerning publish-dates

Dear collegues,

Luus found some inconsistancy concerbning the publish-dates. Obviously, she gets different results than I do.

I will fix ist now, so that the dates are in corerct sequence. I'll post again hier after fixing and then, we can have a close look, that everyone sees the same.

Last night someone changed

I have no idea who did this and would like to know, for seeing different dates under "Publish date" and "publish on" is very confusing.

From the edit histories, it looks like it's Uwe and Luus changing the "publish on" dates, and they're both changing the time to 00:30, but their accounts are set to display different time zones. Luus' account is set to display UTC time, and Uwe's account is set to display Berlin time, and there's precisely a 2 hour difference between the two, which is what appears to be creating all the problems.

So the question is, which time zone is correct? If it's 00:30 UTC, we should probably set our accounts to display UTC time, which can be done by going here: http://heavenletters.org/user clicking the Edit tab, and scrolling down to the Default Time Zone.

There cannot be a two hours time difference between Amsterdam and Berlin! There is a two hours time difference between Amsterdam and Moscow! I just checked and Berlin and Amsterdam have the same time.
I never saw anything other than 00:30 in the list, so I guess we should stick to that.

I changed the "publish on" value to 00:30:00 UTC. And will take this value for all followning HLs.

This means, that when the time zone of your account is set to UTC, you will see the publish-on-value as 00:30:00 of the day, the HL shall be published.
When your account has a time zone east of UTC, you will see a time later on the day, for example Berlin 02:30:00.
When your account has a time zone west of UTC, you will see a time earlier, normally the evening of the previous day. It simply is that way, because it is the eveneing of the preceding day in yout time-zone, when it is short past midnight UTC.
