How to deal with Insulting Comments ?
Posted November 5th, 2015 by Uwe-1
Dear Gloria, dear collegues.
Today I found insulting comments when I had a close look on the emails, Heavenletters sends automatically to me.
I deleted these comments.
My question to you, Gloria, and to the others is:
Might it be a good way, to allow coomenting only to registered users? In this case, we could block users, when they post insulting comments.
Blessings
Uwe
Dear Uwe, as always, you ask
Dear Uwe, as always, you ask a question that shows how much you care and work for Heavenletters. For those who may not know, Uwe is a lifesaver for Heavenletters. He so conscientiously organizes all the first drafts of Heavenletters and later the proofed titled Heavenletters that are ready to be published. This is a huge service.
Negative comments, although they do happen, are very remote. . Alas, that someone is a registered user isn't a guarantee that he will continue to write uplifting comments or write positive comments in the first place. Anyone can become a registered user if he desires to.
My feeling is to leave it the way it is. The beauty of an un-registered comment is that -- I believe -- it doesn't show on the site until we okay it.
You and I are talking about comments that no one should have to read. The rare one who feels compelled to insult is truly suffering. Heavenletters and our forums are meant to be places for upliftment. We do our best.
God bless you, Uwe.

Hi!!
I think that if you and Gloria can see the comments before they appear for everyone to see, you can choose just like you did.
Like Gloria said this a place for upliftment, although people have the right to say what they want, if you can choose not to accept this comments in our forum i think you did the right choice not to accept it here.
Love Nuno
You are so right, Nuno.
You are so right, Nuno. There is no place here for negativity or rudeness.
Uwe was talking of an extreme case that none of us would sanction or repeat.
insulting comments
It is fair enough to have control on whether admin issue the comments or not. In case, the comments made by visitors go beyond its purpose then the issue becomes something else.
