Does it mean that you are at a new beginning like if it was the first one? Is the original expression "to be at one's prime"?

I cannot get the meaning of that sentence. Could you paraphrase for me, please?

Normand, the most commonly used meaning of glean, in my experience, is the first one. I'm not totally sure about prime since usually the phrase is in one's prime.
