Dear Gloria,

I know the expression "For heaven's sake" and wonder whether in this case "For Heaven's sakes is correct? Is sake to be meant to be plural here?

Are you on the fight or flight mode all the time? Are you geared to the fight or flight mode of life? For Heaven’s sakes, why?

I think "sakes" works well.
