Hi Leon~ It helps when asking a question like this to quote the whole paragraph if possible. That way you get the context that adds to the meaning. I realize if you still are having problems getting a computer that you might not be able to cut and paste, and copying a paragraph on your phone would be difficult. I don't have a way to find the paragraph.

Sometimes people know things are real but want to express their disapproval or wish that the situation was different. Sometimes people will say, "I can't believe this is happening!", when they obviously know that it is happening.

It doesn't have to be negative. People might say that on winning the lottery and shake their heads in astonishment. "I must be dreaming!" Maybe Gloria or someone else can find the whole paragraph and quote it for us. Thanks for all your good work for Chinese speakers everywhere.

My guess is that "People think it’s real, and that they must shake their heads and talk about it" is to mean that they have big discussions about it. That it's very important, like the price of cabbage, what someone said that may have hurt our feelings, or some gossip.

I don't think that shaking our heads is meant to mean we are saying no to it, but rather shaking our head kind of in amazement that this is happening. We do think it's real all right, and we do have animated discussions.

God bless you for asking your questions. It's not a cinch to translate Heavenletters! It's much easier to hear God directly! If you were receiving the Heavenletter from God, assuming you would hear God in Chinese, it would be exciting to know how He would put this in your native tongue, and how he would in other languages as well.

And if someone had to translate from Chinese to English, what questions that translator would be asking!
