Heaven # 4846 Loosen Your Heart the Way a Man Loosens His Tie

Dear Gloria

in http://www.heavenletters.org/loosen-your-heart-the-way-a-man-loosens-his...

parag. 1
" Through you, My heart is disseminated. You are the outreach of My heart. You are the route it takes. You are more powerful that you can see. With power comes responsibility. You are more powerful for what occurs in the world than you are aware of. "

I suppose this "THAT" should be "THAN"?

parag. 5
"Making people say, “Uncle” contrary to their own perception is no success at all." What does it mean to say "Uncle"?

Thanks

uncle

Dear Normand,

say uncle means : I surrender, I give up

Danke, Anneke. I just wonder

Danke, Anneke.
I just wonder how "uncle" is related to surrender. There certainly is a cultural explanation that Gloria will give us.

Annkeke is right about the

Annkeke is right about the meaning of Say, Uncle.

I'd like to give a little elaboration. If two boys are wrestling, let's say, one of the boys pins down the other boy. The boy on top, the victor, may say to the defeated boy on the bottom, "Say, Uncle." The boy on the bottom is already defeated, yet the boy on top, the victor, will not let the boy on the bottom get up until he, the boy on the bottom, says, "Uncle,"

The boy on top already defeated the boy, but before the winner will let the defeated boy get up, he makes him admit his defeat by saying, "Uncle," which, indeed means:" I surrender. I give up. You won!"

And, Normand, yes, you caught an unwarranted typo. Will you be able to fix it, please, and a big thank you to you.

Of course, Gloria.By the

Of course, Gloria.

By the way, did the Portuguese HL get through your mailbox? It never went through mine but it must be because I did not subscribe to Portuguese HL even if I can post, edit and email them... Weird!

Normand, I get the reply but

I have to confess I hadn't gotten to subscribe. I will do it this minute;

Thanks, dear Normand.
