Heaven 4814 God is not your Sugar-Daddy
Posted March 4th, 2014 by paula
Has the expression Sugar-Daddy got another meaning than what my dictionary says:
A wealthy, usually older man who gives expensive gifts to a young person in return for sexual favors or companionship
I find it rather weird and difficult to translate it in this sense, so I was wondering whether I could use something like 'Father Christmas' instead.
Love,
Paula

In Dutch we say "suikeroom"
In Dutch we say "suikeroom" (sugar uncle) which means exactly the same as "sugar daddy", but you may not have such a word in Italian. Hope you will find one.
Sugar-Daddy meant to me
Sugar-Daddy meant to me someone who fulfills your every wish. God doesn't always do that. God is much more than that, much deeper. How much does my interpretation of a word influence Godwriting, I don't know. Of course, God wasn't referring to the literal definition you found, dear Paula. Yikes!
Father Christmas would do well. Good idea. Thank you.
