Heaven #274 How to treat this present moment
Posted May 10th, 2008 by paula
I can't find the exact meaning for this expression in Letter #274:
Know this moment, and it will carry you in triumph on its shoulders into the next moment which will also carry you to the next as a royal porter carries a treasured find gently.
Can someone please help me?

Dear Paula, I'm not sure
Dear Paula, I'm not sure where exactly the problem is. Is it "find"? It is a noun here, "a find", something found or newly discovered.
Does that solve the problem?
Much love,
Jochen
Yes, Jochen is right. Here
Yes, Jochen is right. Here find is used as a noun.
However, I was tripped up too as I read the sentence here. Treasured find could just as well have been treasure! God must have had His reason. Maybe just to make us stop over the expression!
I really think that God would want you to make the translation easy on yourself and your readers, cara Paula.
Yes, Gloria, I too think
Yes, Gloria, I too think that "treasure" would do. Although "find" brings in something more of that precious nowness this letter is about.
And Paula, as always when I read something you translate out of sequence, this is a treasured find fitting exactly the need of the moment. Vultures, ha!
I know 'find' is used as a
I know 'find' is used as a noun here. I don't understand why 'a royal porter'! I was expecting something like a 'royal porter carrying a sedan'. Well, I'll try to translate the sense in Italian.
Safe in My arms you're only dreaming. -
Al sicuro tra le Mie braccia state solo sognando.

Royal porter
That's too bad, Paula. I immediately saw that royal porter in my mind's eye, carrying something priceless on a little blue velvet cushion ... didn't occur to me there might be a problem there.
We could say you are a royal
We could say you are a royal porter of God's words in Heavenletters.
A royal porter carries the treasure. A porter carries.
This help, cara Paula?
