Growth and Neutrality
Gloria to God:
Dear God, yesterday I found myself laughing a lot. With people, by myself. Really happy.
Even when an awkward situation came up, my response to it clearly showed me my growth.
I gave away a contemporary wardrobe to a friend. She first astonished me by saying we should split the cost of having it moved. I said, Okay — not from my old usual fear of expressing myself but from decision.
I paid my $15.00 when the man picked up the wardrobe.
While the mover was still at her house, my friend called to tell me she didn't want it. I said it was no problem because the mover (a used furniture store owner) would buy it from me, but I did say, "You'll pay him the other $15.00, won't you?"
She said, "No. He didn't move it into my house. I think the $15.00 you paid him is a good deal for him."
Of course I paid the mover the remaining $15.00. The point I, dear God, that my old self would have been anguishing over this, how could she treat me this way, who does she think she is etc. There was none of that. I feel like celebrating!
God:
A milestone. You no longer feel like the victim of the universe. And you did celebrate yesterday. That was all your laughing.
Gloria:
I thank You for the growth You have given me. Talking to You every day is paying off!
Turning to a slightly different subject, Tina in Pennsylvania has started doing Godwriting on her own. She typed six pages of it to send to Heavenletters, and she lost it on her computer. In her email, she expressed so well how beautiful it is to write to You and hear from You. I wanted her letter to inspire other Godwriters, and as I copied it to forward to my daughter, the whole thing disappeared in an instant, and I can't get it back. Of course, I can ask Tina to resend it, but I have to wonder what is going on!
God:
I don't know.
Gloria:
You don't know?
God:
Computers sometimes have minds of their own. I would not attribute any great significance to this.
Gloria:
A donor has come forward with a generous donation for Heaven, and we have gone back and forth over what to do with it. We thought to ask You. Will You please settle this?
God:
Many issues are mixed in here. Your inability to receive fully and the donor's reluctance to let go fully. Both of these issues, you learned from your mothers.
I would say to deposit the donation in the Heaven Association account, and let it be spent as the occasion arises. However it is used, it will be to support Heaven, and that is what the donor wants.
The donor is learning to let go of many things. So many things have flown out of her hands. And this was one she could maybe keep in tow.
As for you, Gloria, when someone wishes to donate, say, "Thank you," and that's all.
More important that the actual money and its use is the giving and receiving engendered on the deeper levels. The donation is a vote for Heaven and a desire to do good. That is the donation.
The money itself is a token, a gracious token of love. The money is a ticket of love. The love behind it is the donor's blessing of this endeavor.
I thank you both for loving Heaven.
Gloria:
Karen recently wrote — I don't have the exact words — that being connected to You and controlling cannot co-exist. So long I try to control life, I disavow my connection to You.
God:
You cannot have freedom and control at the same time.
In the situation with your friend and the mover, you were able to be gracious because you were not trying to control it. Dealing with and controlling are not the same. You dealt with it, and it was over.
Trying to control a situation doesn't allow it to be over. Control is always defeated or brings a false victory. Controlling is bullying, even if it is supposedly protecting your rights.
This is your growth here, Gloria. Letting go is your growth. Releasing others to themselves. Taking the personal out of what occurs. This is, indeed, freeing.
You saw what being neutral is like. You were neutral. You didn't see red. You saw neutral.
Gloria:
Dear God, Ginger seems to be having trouble with her diabetes. She is unable to control her bladder at all. We're taking her to the vet today.
God:
Release your little dog, Ginger, to My care. She is My precious baby too. Ginger, like you, is learning to be more neutral. She is less afraid, and that is to say she is more aware of Me.
Ginger is learning that she deserves love, that it is hers. Ginger touches many hearts; she is a heart-toucher.
On earth or in Heaven, Ginger is in My care, as are you, as is every soul who reads this, as is every soul who does not.
Every soul is Mine and in My keeping. Not one is a stray.
Gloria:
God, Ginger was severely abused before she came to us. I can't understand why the innocent suffer.
God:
Understand that Ginger found her way to you, and you and your daughter to her. What a shining light of victory Ginger is. What a testament to Me, this little stealer of hearts.
She is an unwinder of hearts. She crawls into them. She is such a dispatcher of Heaven.
You could know Me through Ginger alone.
How much you love her. I tell you, how much more do I. My love is the whole power of the universe. My love holds up the planets and the stars.
Do you think I don't hold up little Ginger?
