Eyes Once Closed Now Open
Gloria to God:
Dear God in Heaven and in my heart —
God:
The same thing.
Gloria:
Yes. Ulrike asked me to ask You about her situation. She and George very much want to live closer to nature. They presently live in a walk-up in the city Essen in Germany. They also consider living in another country. George is a freelance computer programmer and presently is working in a different location from contract to contract.
They have set a deadline for June or July when they wish to be out of the city. Will you help?
God:
You know I will help.
My first question is: Given that they have been living in the city all these years, why haven't they lived in the country? Are they waiting for everything to fall into place? Are they seeking perfection in the relative where it is not?
Whereas I am the only One to be relied on, it will still be good for Ulrike and George to rely on themselves. They have free choice.
If they truly desire to live in another country, which one? I suggest they get books with many pictures of their chosen country and not leave it to Me.
If they choose to stay in Germany, where within that beautiful country of Mine would they like to live? Mountains? Forest? Lakes? Perhaps there is a particular spot that pulls their hearts?
I suggest they drive around and find it.
I wonder whether Ulrike, more than George, desires the country. That is all right, because George wishes Ulrike to be happy, and where she is happy, he will be as well.
If where they are located is 1 (low) on a scale of 10 (high), does Ulrike want the next step to be 10? Perhaps it can be 5. Perhaps a move in the right direction is called for at this time and not an ultimate permanent move.
Meanwhile, I suggest that Ulrike write down all she desires, not think much, but just write fast. Entitle the page: My Desires. George can do the same if he wishes.
Then on another paper, write down why she deserves what she desires. George, the same.
On a third page, write down all they are happy about now. Everything. It is easier to please someone who is already pleased. Tell Me what you are truly grateful for now.
My dear Ulrike is a strong-willed person, and that is very good. It will also be good for her to allow herself to not try to control.
I suggest she consider every opportunity and not discard any. Go see what comes up. Perhaps Ulrike's openness will open possibilities for her. Perhaps objections will fall away, and she will see how a particular situation can work very well for her and George, although she had not considered that particular possibility before.
Ulrike and George are dear to My heart. It is not My idea that they struggle.
I must remind them that obstacles are always within the person who experiences them. The obstacles do not exist in the circumstances, no matter how much it seems so.
I have seen people be strong in a desire and how it must be, and they rule out things beforehand because these things do not seem to fit their agenda. But they go look anyway, and to their delight, they fall in love with a house or situation unlike what they dreamed of, and they realize that this was what they really wanted all along!
Perhaps George finds employment that is joyous and steady for him where he can be at home every night. That could be.
I would like to remind Ulrike that this can all be easy. It does not have to be arduous. This is not a doctoral thesis to be edited but a storybook of delight as it is.
Old concepts Ulrike has about Me may also have to change. I do not have to be a certain proscribed way either.
Let Me and life unfold. I bless Ulrike and George with all My heart, and I seek their happiness and fulfillment in Heaven and on earth.
A Course in Miracles, p. 463 (following Lesson 340), "What Is a Miracle?":
"It does not create, nor really change at all. It merely looks on devestation and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It undoes error…paves the way for the return of timelessness and love's awakening…the miracle is taken first on faith…Forgiveness is the home of miracles…"
Gloria:
Dear God, it is a miracle that You have come to me.
God:
It is not a miracle that someone whose eyes were closed now opens them and sees. It is a joy, but most natural. Seeing what you see as a miracle is seeing what is always there. Events are orchestrated. Desires are fulfilled. Love triumphs. God exists. All is well.
Human souls long for miracles. The miracles say to them: "God loves me." But that was fact all along.
The focus has been on the details of life. When someone turns his eyes to Me, it seems like a miracle because his heart cried for Me, and now I appear.
All of life is a miracle when you have awareness. Every unfolding of life is an opening to Heaven. You are of My creation, and you witness My creation and you see Me.
Gloria to Mother Divine:
Dear Mother Divine, I am so grateful to hear God's words, feel His love, begin to feel mine, and to receive you, dear Mother.
Mother Divine:
You have desired everything, and everything you have.
The desires are seeds planted in you by God. They are your deepest desires, often unvoiced, unnoticed and always untrammeled. Seeds grow in little crannies between rocks; they burst through cement; they even sprout in the dark.
You were innocent of your desires until they sprouted. Then you saw. Then you watered and acknowledged your desires.
You are a container of desires. You are a container of blossoming thoughts. You are a container of God's fulfillment. Remember that love and fulfillment are God's, left in your care, but His, and that is how all is for Him. What He desires is for you to use His love, carry it, offer it, display it, and know His fulfillment. How simple is a life in God's Will.
Later…
Gloria to God:
Dear God, thank You for a wonderful day. I had foot reflexology, got a little done in the house, Lauren made delicious chicken, I pressure-cooked artichokes, and Sandra called me.
God:
A good day at home in the love of God.
Gloria:
What more would You like to say, dear God?
God:
You are doing great. Do you have any idea of the strides you have made? Great strides. Great progress. Great opening up to Heaven.
I bless you. I heap blessings on you.
Gloria to Mother Divine:
Dear Mother Divine, what will you tell me tonight?
Mother Divine:
Take it easy. Go easy with yourself. Give comfort to yourself as well as to others. Honor yourself as a special guest. Don't make too many demands on yourself. I say this with love. You strain a bit. Not necessary. Strain is opposed to God's Will. Just be Gloria as she is. That is good enough.
