Aloha and Mahalos <3
Dear Gloria,
I love how you tell your story! From the short version to the long version to the one at the end, it kept getting better and better! So much so that I want to give you a great big hug and a kiss. What started out is that I have been following your Heavenletters for some time. I am a blogger, and Isabel Henn and I both LOVE your Heavenletters! Now I am thankful to know you, and your story. One day, perhaps, you will know mine. It's close to yours enough to make me think we would have a wonderful conversation discovering what we have in common. What I will share is that my next door neighbor, another single mom, was Jewish. She was very kind and invited us for dinner almost every Sunday night. One year, she was moving at Hanukah and was worried she couldn't make the brisket. I got her mom's secret recipe and worked in the kitchen all day for her and her family. Guess what? The kids were older teens and were too busy to make it! So the three of us, her, me and my son, had Hanukah together. It was fun making the meal and being Jewish, which I am not technically, but in my soul I am. In my heart, I most definitely am--because Jewish people have been the kindest, most accepting of me when Life was most difficult. Because of that, I am most thankful and full of joy and love in my soul. My gratitude to you for your commitment to God and to the Heavenletters is off the charts--so very much gratitude I don't know how it can even be measured. May blessings and joy follow you all of the days of your life. You are Precious, Special, and very much Loved by all. Namaste.
