A Story That Leads to God
Gloria to God:
Dear God, while writing down Your words this morning, the wind keeps opening my front door, and it won't stay closed. You are speaking of greatness, and I put books and shoes against my door to keep it closed. I hear and write Your love loud and strong, and then the details of life seem to intervene, dear God. Even as I Godwrite, they intervene! Details of ordinary life seem to stand in Your way.
God:
They do not stand in My way. They stand in yours.
Gloria:
Can I have You at the same time as bills and doors that won't stay closed?
God:
Certainly.
Gloria:
This is what I don't know how to do. I seem to be in either/or consciousness. I cannot seem to combine You with the details of life. It's You or life.
God:
Let Me live your life with you.
Let Me be with you as you place shoes to keep your door closed.
Let Me be with you as you see bills.
Let Me be with you as you open them.
Let Me be with you as you answer the bills, answer the hearts that sent them.
Who sends you the bills?
I do, dear Gloria.
Who has made this magnificent upside-down world if not I?
And I have made it for Our joy.
Have joy in being in human form and all the ins and outs of human life.
Enjoy the suspense.
Enjoy the piles of paper.
Enjoy a door that won't stay closed.
Enjoy paying bills or not paying bills.
Enjoy aliveness.
And enjoy Me.
Human life really is being in a story.
Your life is only a story.
The story keeps writing and winding.
And the story leads to Me.
You write the story, and you are surprised at what you write.
You are the heroine of the story.
The story is not flat.
There have to be obstacles in it, or it would be flat.
You may think you would like flatness, but you do not.
You like the cyclic events.
You like the surprises.
You like being the Queen of the Story.
You don't want only to read the book.
You want to star in it.
You want to write it and star in it and direct it!
You want to see how this story comes out.
The ending is the same.
You discover Me.
You discover Me catching you in My arms.
And, meanwhile, you wonder:
Who will come fix the door?
What will happen about the bills?
And when?
When will the phone ring?
And who will be calling?
And what will they say?
And what will you say?
And what then.
The story of human life is summed up in: What then? What next? Who next? What now? What is now anyway? What is all this?
One thing after another. One chase and then another.
But do not be captured in the story.
It is only a story.
Write the book as you like.
Make events as you like.
Rewrite the story.
Cross out.
Rewrite again.
Edit.
Add.
Change direction.
All the while, keep Me in sight.
Feel My hands on your shoulders.
Feel My smile.
Look into the comfort of My eyes.
So long as you are on earth, there will be story.
And there will always be I beside you.
God and Gloria take a walk through life and call it Story.

Kerry to Heavenletters and God:
I am in awe of the beautiful and fulfilling messages from God.
Randy R. to Heavenletters:
I've been receiving and enjoying the Heavenletters.
In reference to the November 6 Heavenletter, I have to say that the love thing is so difficult. It's no easier with the internet. People can be so flaky. I quit having preconceived notions and expectations about people I meet. I try to be like a mirror and reflect only what is there. Lauren has been special to me since I first saw her comments on that silly list! Her maturity level is way above the others. I agree that you don't need someone else to validate yourself — that is heading for disappointment. Being content within yourself is the key, and if someone comes along that can fit into your scheme that's great. If not, that's great, too!
Tina to Heavenletters:
This thing about thinking of myself as a God-Send is really opening my appreciation of how God is managing my life. I am getting continuously better about making joyful choices for how I spend my time and energy. In the morning, I sort of play with the question of asking God how He would most like to live through me with my portion of His time and energy this particular day.
Love and Light, Tina
