A Pilgrimage called Life

God said:

Good morning, beloveds. I am in your presence, and I am at your service. Whose service would I be at if not yours?

This does not mean I always do your bidding as you would have Me do it. When you drop your ice cream cone, I don’t pick it up. When you scrape your knee, you have a scrape. I don’t undo the fall. I do kiss your knee, however, and I plan on other occurrences that you will enjoy much more than a fall.

And yet why not enjoy everything that occurs? Enjoy isn’t exactly the word I want, although it is as close as I can get. We are talking about life, beloveds. Get the most from it. Even pain, well, you may not exactly enjoy it, but it sure lets you know you are alive. Wring all the life from life that you can get. Experience life, and go along with it. Don’t mind what you mind quite so much.

You may think you hit bottom, yet, beloveds, there is no bottom to hit, the same way that there is no top. There is always higher. There are no limits. There are no limits. There is also nothing that limits you to pain even when you are in pain. There is nothing to limit you to suffering even when you are suffering.

Consider life a meal. You sit down to a meal. You may not be served your favorite foods, and yet you are being fed. So eat then. Be glad for the food before you. Be glad for the life before you. Even when life seems to be undelectable, still be for it. Even if you are being led off to prison, you are experiencing life.

Beloveds, you are on a pilgrimage. A pilgrimage is a wonderful thing. The pilgrimage you are on is called Life. Hurray for life! Long may it stand.

Catch even the beauty in what you don’t see as beautiful. What you experience may be excruciating. It can even be excruciatingly beautiful.

You are one who experiences. That is what a human being is. You are an experiencer. You are also a giver, and you are also a receiver. Receive experience, beloveds, and know that you grow from every experience. You are not the same as you were yesterday. Be as you are today. Be the fullness thereof. Be the fullness I AM.

Run away with Me today. Let’s skip-to-my-lou. Let’s be overjoyed today. Get out of your sickbed, beloveds. You don’t belong there. You have a limitless world before you, and a tour to go on. Be ready at 8 a.m. Be ready to step on the gas pedal, and receive a message far beyond what you already know.

Every person and every event in life is an experience, and an experience for your good. Of course, an experience is what you make of it.

Remember the story of the lame boy who couldn’t run away? He learned to face encounters in life.

Circumstances may be hard to take. They may make you weep, yet even your tears are here for your benefit. Let them wash away what they will. Even if your body is confined to bed, get your heart and mind out of bed, beloveds. You may well be the inspiration for somebody. People will certainly model themselves after you. Be a model for what you want to be. This is not pretense or denial. This is doing what you can do.

Consider every event and person as a friend. Have no adversaries. Get all the juice there is to get, even from what may not seem beneficial at all. What if everything that occurs is to your benefit? What if it is?

Yes...Maybe all of my failings and pitfalls were really my friends. Maybe all of my crazy, weird and fearful thoughts....maybe these too were my friends. And maybe I was my friend too! And perhaps my biggest friend was God. ps...you are my friend too! Jimi.

enjoy

And yet why not enjoy everything that occurs? Enjoy isn’t exactly the word I want, although it is as close as I can get.

Everything is not enjoyable, and yet I'm getting a vague sense of what it means to enjoy even what seems unpleasant. There is a new sense of everything, enjoyable or not, floating in a kind of ether that feels intensely alive and, although faceless in the conventional sense, like a silent gaze, a smile, something deeply "faceful", something intimately personal and utterly impersonal. I don't know how to express this in a less paradoxical way. But the "enjoyable" bit comes from a new and most extraordinary sense of familiarity with this nothingness that is really an unseen face, that is really Home. Reminds me of this from Heaven #1644:

You like a personal God. You like the idea of it. You like a cozy papa who sits you on his lap. And yet you are growing toward God Impersonal, more toward an essence of God than the concrete. A larger God perhaps Who taps your heart. I, as God Essence, enter your heart and stay. You become incapable of objectifying Me. It is as if your whole body turns into My heart. You simply cannot escape My heart. Your heart pulses the universe. I beat the drum of your heart. We become so blended in unity and harmony that all you know is the beat of One Heart.

You long for nothing. You have everything. Rather than God holding you on His lap, you hold God. It is not exactly that you hold, because at this point, you hold nothing, but your awareness grasps that God is All and All That Is.

Anyway, where you feel at home, everything is somehow "enjoyable". It seems to take some practice to settle into this new and different coziness and not be catapulted out of it every time something unpleasant or painful occurs. I'm not there yet but beginning to get a faint sense of what God calls excruciatingly beautiful here. Which again reminds me of something else, this time from Heaven #932:

Your desire for more of Me is your desire for Oneness, the Oneness that you feel has been kept from you or you have been kept from it. You desire that your will and Mine be One. You want that excruciating meltingness of Oneness that you are meant to want and to have full awareness of.

Yes.

I had to look up "skip-to-my-lou" and found that lou (or loo) is the Scottish way of pronouncing "love".

A longing for the Divine...

Thank you Jochen...What comes to me after reading your words is to be in a quiet space of "longing for the Divine". It is not really a longing as in a wanting...but being inclusive of the Divine...or maybe even preparing a space in one's heart...just a gentle little space for the Divine to be...for Love to be....and just holding it gently there...caressing this space...and this space contains me and you and all of creaction...this space is ultimately inclusive...so that as we greet every moment of our day and every thing or person that is contained in each and every moment....we are greeting it and them from and as this space of Love. We are this space...we are this Love...and as this loving space...we go with the flow...as the flow of this intelligent, loving space and everyone and thing is embraced with this Love...as Us...as this Love. Everything and One is greeted in each and every moment...as this intimately recognisable Love. Love, Jim and Jimi.

You know, of course. And I'm

You know, of course. And I'm sure you also know that we all have what we perceive as our strong and weak points. Love seems to be easy for some, difficult or even frightening for others, depending on conditioning. These differences make for different approaches to remembering Oneness, Love, God, Truth, Being... And, naturally, those paths meet somewhere. Imagine, everyone having all the best in us at their disposal!

Oh yes Jochen

Gosh I understand weak points...I contain and am surrounded by so many in the course of a day. When I write here...I do not mention then cause my intention is to focus on love and light. However, our relationship to weak points...or shadows, if you will, is so crucial. I see all shadows...as objects to embrace with a tender loving light. And...of course, how can a shadow sustain itself when a spotlight is held lovingly in its direction....and not held there to destroy the shadow...but to love. So really, life becomes a noticing...an awareness game...As thoughts, or people or things come continually into our field of awareness in the course of the day....Be readdy for them!...Rest wiith loving awareness from that place in your heart to include them...But...be not the object (the shadows)...but the subject...you are the subject...and the subject is Love. These words are a wonderful reminder for myself...so thank you Jochen for triggering them! Love and blessings, Jim and Jimi.
