You have heard it said to make the most of things. That is a good idea for the events in your life that you welcome. For other events, make less of them. You are more noteworthy than any occurrence in life. And so am I.

Too often you make the focus of your life that which is unwelcome. You give it all your attention, and you neglect the lighted areas of your life. Better to nourish them.

Better to nourish what you value. And what you don't appreciate, give a nod to, make room for it if you have to, but do not pre-empt your life for that which saddens you.

Take joy where joy is. Surely, there are shiny spots in your life. Surely the sun shines every day whether it is in your view or not. The sun shines even through the darkest forest.

And why not you, too, be a sun that shines even in the midst of darkness.

The least joy you feel right now, all the more you can give. A few cents given by a poor man carries more weight than hundreds given by a wealthy one. Even when your stock of full-heartedness is low, you can still give your heart's wealth to another. And so, you will refurbish your own. When you fulfill another's heart, you are fulfilling your own.

Your heart has its role to play. Do not forsake your heart. It longs to be seen, and it longs to give. You are the one who has to give it permission. Do not withhold your heart from yourself. Whatever condition you find yourself in, let your heart follow its destiny. Its destiny is to give. And so then, you continue to give from your heart, rain or shine.

Your heart is a well. You may think, otherwise, but it can never go dry. Your heart is perpetual, and I am its Source. Therefore, your heart is always being filled. Spend your heart more, and you will notice its welling up more. Your heart when it spills over, as with a cup of milk, you notice it more.

In the relative life, everything comes and goes. Whatever comes and whatever goes at any given time, you can still like life. You can be a friend to it.

Friends in life are not always what you would like them to be, but still, you remain friends. If you threw out every friend who did not live up to your expectations, you would have none. While life is by your side, befriend it. Be to it as you would want it to be to you.

Do not give up on it. Give it everything you have to give, and go forward with it. Sometimes it lags, and you pull it. Sometimes you lag, and it pulls you. Be an aide to one another. Help life out.

Earthly life needs a hand up.

Life is rather neutral to you. Whatever happens in it, it is not personal to you. So, then, do not take life so personally. Life is not out to get you. It just is going its way. It may not always wait for you, but you can keep up with it. It doesn't mean to be in your way. It's just that it has its own course to follow. As do you.

Be like the stars that shine regardless of events on earth. They bless no matter what.

Treat life as the stars treat earth. In any case, you are one who shines forever.
