Why God Invites You

God said:

Heartache signals that your heart wants more. Particular situations and people that arise in your life make you notice your aching heart more than at other times, but all the time, your heart is crying to be full.

When your heart is not full enough, it feels empty, and whatever comes in dominates it. As if what passes by enriches or disturbs it. As if your heart were a stomach, and candy sweetens it and bitterness galls it. But a heart is not a stomach. And your heart is connected to Mine. It does not have to be so hungry for the world.

Dependence upon the world and personal events means that your heart is at their mercy. But your heart is your heart, and the world is not its governor.

Your heart is more than a receiver. Your heart is a sender, and every message it sends, it also receives. It hears the echo. Your heart's fullness depends upon what it gives out. Your heart pains itself or it exhilarates itself.

Nothing need impinge upon your heart.

No memory. No onslaught. When other hearts contract, yours does not have to.

It is good that you turn your heart to Mine, because My heart will fill yours. I do not need your love for Myself. I ask for your love and attention so that your heart may be full. Have you thought that I call you to Me for My need? I do not have need. I have Will, and My Will is that you have fulfillment. I ask you to come close to Me so that you begin to know all the love that is already yours to give. I set an example for you. The world does not.

When your car needs gas, you have the sense to go to a gas station.

When your heart needs love, you have perhaps been looking to get some where you are supposed to give it.

It is with Me that you fill up on love, and it is to the world that you give it. Has there been a mix-up?

You may have thought that you were to give your love to Me, to get in My good graces, as it were, and that others in the world were then to give their love to you and, that way, you could know you are in My good graces. You may have thought you were to bow down to Me so that the world would then know it is obliged to bow down to you.

The Father of the Universe is the Nourisher, and to Me you come for nourishment. And then you turn around and give out what I give to you. Perhaps you have been running around on empty. And you thought all those others running around looking for more were responsible for your heart's emptiness or pain.

And, yes, sometimes some of you have called Me to task for your pain and the pain of others. But I have not gone anywhere. I am here, as always, eagerly awaiting you. Come, accept what I give to you.

Look to Me for at least a little bit of what you look to the world for. I gladly give you My attention. You don't have scrounge for it. You don't have to play a game. You don't have to pretend anything. You don't have to kowtow. You please Me just by being here. I am the One already well-pleased with you. There is no entrance fee, and there are no requirements. An open invitation. Just come.
