Unto Me, surrender. What is it you surrender? All that which is not yours, all that which does not fulfill you, all that which distracts you from your very Being.

I do not ask you to give up your will. Not at all. I ask you to find out who you are and so discover your will. Whim and will are not the same. Desire and will are not exactly the same. There comes a time when you will will to follow My will because you know that is where your destiny and happiness lie.

You may have been fighting your own will all these years. You may have convinced yourself you want to go one way, when, if you let yourself see, you would see you wish to go in quite another direction. You may be seeking wealth in the world, and no matter how much wealth you amass, you may find you are drinking from an empty cup.

You may seek fame or romance, and you get them, but deep in your heart there is a place where you fear to tread. You haven’t let yourself note that you want to be a missionary in China perhaps. You perhaps thought you wanted to be a queen of the world when that is not even close to what you truly desire, and that which is My will for you.

You may think you know yourself very well, yet you have been skirting the issue of yourself. You have sailed on a ship and stopped at every port except the one you really want. You have hidden the port of entry from yourself, you find all manner of excuses not to get off the ship you have been sailing on. It is not unheard of that you might go to great lengths to disguise your destiny from yourself. And from others as well. You may have gone to great lengths to hide it, and so you keep up a false front.

Your destiny is not something foisted on you. It is your deepest desire, and you may be afraid to spot it, and so you entertain yourself with other thoughts and activities.

Beloveds, you have some nice surprises in store for you.

Even when you have been on the right track, you may have been dipping your toe in the water rather than diving in. You may have done everything rather than plunging yourself into the current of life’s stream that calls to you. It is not exactly that you are hard of hearing, yet there is a part of you that pretends not to hear. You distract yourself seeking comfort perhaps and not seeking the joy that is yours.

Perhaps you have been like a Hobbit who loves a simple home life, and yet a great adventure is waiting for you, a mission that only you can fulfill. You have been stalling, beloveds.

You do not have to know the name of your exact assignment beforehand, yet you can begin to read the signs. At least, you don’t have to pretend them away.

Beloveds, there have been clues planted for you all along the way. Hansel and Gretel knew about leaving bread crumbs while you seem to have been oblivious to the bread crumbs that have been left for you along the way.

What is your heart’s longing, beloveds? What call do you hear even so faintly in the distance? What is it that you are not hearing? Be silent a moment, and listen to that singular beat of your heart. It is a tom-tom giving you a message.
