What If You Had an Amaryllis?

God said:

If you would really stop picking on yourself, you would see the fullness that you are. As it is, you hack away at yourself -- all in the name of improving yourself. Because of judgment, you decide you have to do more and become better. You look outward, and that is where you find judgment, and then you take it unto yourself.

Right now find out how beautiful you are and how beautiful is that heart of yours – of Ours. You have filled your mind with ideas of how good you are not. You are sure you are lacking when you can be sure that you are a 20-carat diamond instead. Let Me do the polishing, beloveds. Know Who you are, and you will be it.

Know that you have a heart of gold. Come from that premise. A heart of gold, no matter how melted, is strong. Molten gold flows. It does not have to be told to flow. It does not have to be taught. It just has to not be stemmed.

You have cut off your heart, but that does not mean it has to be added to. If you have repressed your heart, now simply remove the repression. When your belt is too tight, you loosen it. You don’t have to stretch the present belt. You don’t have to reprimand it. You just let it be the belt it is.

If only you could treat yourself as well as you treat a belt. If only you would bet on yourself more.

All the money you spend on this and that, what if you gave it to those who have little or none instead? What would you have lost? You would have spent the money by now anyway, and its pleasure would not have lasted. If you want to recognize the magnificence of yourself, give something away.

First of all, give away your need to be other than you are. Give away, and you will find out Who you are.

You have been holding on to a concept, often a false one. Keep nothing unto yourself. Share all. That is betterment. The less you keep, the better you are. The more you give away, the happier you are. Give away all the restrictive concepts you have had about yourself. You bought a bill of goods, beloved. You bought dross for gold.

You are always giving away something anyway. You give away opportunity because of fixed ideas, yours or the world’s. You have taken the world’s illusion to your heart. Illusion does not belong in your heart, definitely not in your heart, no, not in the heart I gave you.

What if you had an amaryllis, and you kept telling it that it needs to be different, that it isn't quite right the way it is, that it should have a brighter or less bright color, that it should bloom sooner, or it should bloom later? You know better than to do that to an amaryllis.

Start talking nice now to the amaryllis of your heart, that spectacular amaryllis of your heart, that amazing pulsating divine heart, growing heart, whose tendrils are reaching out and winding through the universe.

Recognize the beauty and magnificence of your own heart. It is a king or queen among hearts. It is My heart planted in your chest. Didn’t you know that? What could My heart be but in full bloom all year long, regardless of season, regardless of anything at all, and so, now, My heart in yours, let it regard itself and the world with sublime awareness and sublime joy.
