The True Land of Your Birth

God said:

You speak of lack. Lack has become a habit, a way of seeing. In looking at life, you tend to see a picture of lack when you could see a picture of plenty. You have been looking from one angle at one angle.

A fish in a fish bowl sees his entire world. He is wrapped up in it, and he sees as far as he can see. There is an ocean, and yet hard glass, invisible as it is, keeps him bound to his little bowl. And so is the world you have carved out. A fish is limited to the bowl he is in. He is dependent upon others to fend for him. Of course, a fish in a bowl is relegated to a bowl. He does not have the motility you do.

You are not relegated. You who came from the sea can prosper on land or sea. To a fish, you would be a magician. You are the sprinkler of food in his bowl. You are a hand that tenders his world.

Yet a fish is content in life. He is content being a fish even in a little bowl in your kitchen.

You tend not to be content in life. You are not content being simply and only a human being. Of course not. You are in the skin of a human being, and yet you gaze and graze far beyond. A fish cannot last long out of the water. You have been, so it seems, out of the water since your bodily birth. You were born of the water of Heaven, and now you make your way on dry land. Dry land is not an ocean, and yet dry land has much to offer.

It is not a pity to be on the dry land of Earth. Even on dry land, flowers bloom. Even in a desert, flowers bloom. Earth holds great beauty. Would that you would look at the beauty more than you look at that which you object to and that confirms your positioning of lack.

You have a heart that keeps you connected to the True Land of your Birth, and a mind that connects you to the temporary land where you presently roam. You pass yourself from one land to another, and yet your origin is Heaven. Your temporary abode is on Earth. A fish can be taken out of the water of his birth, yet you can never be removed from Heaven. You can think so. You have thought so. You have been sure so. And yet you are fast on the Isle of your origin while you flounder on Earth. You traded in your thoughts of Heaven for thoughts of lack on Earth.

Today, collect your bearings. There is a sailboat in your heart that will remind you of when you sailed the Seven Seas of Heaven. Your heart is the ship that takes you across the borders of the world. You are sailing through this imagined Universe now. The Earth is precious to you. You are on a precious journey. Look through the looking-glass of your heart and see the Heaven you carry with you. The Kingdom you seek has been within you forever. This hardly occurs to your mind. Your mind doesn’t know how to fit this concept in. Your mind tries. Your mind is known to be errant. Yet your heart which you see as lacking is connected with golden threads of love to the Source of Love. The filaments of Our love are stronger than the strongest iron of Earth. The bars of Earth you have only imagined, you understand. You can break through the illusions that are, after all, only your thoughts. Only your thoughts tie you to Earth.

The physical reality you see and touch is made of your thoughts. How powerful are your thoughts. Divert your thoughts, and what do you see?

Not all understand what you mean

Do not always be the shackles of the old mode of thinking, people should be the master of positive thinking,Good fish are animals, fish, bad fish destined to be eliminated by good, I do not need to delete the bad fish, bad fish because the fish itself will become a good background only, do not try to do too many things not worth the interpretation of No, I and many good people have been mercilessly deprived of their right to a lot of talent Please respect the good people, do not bully the good, on the soul level, I have always been very clear manner, to harm, you can, but please do not harm me, thank you!

Trading back our thoughts

Separation happened when a tiny portion of the mind decided with its free will to separate from the heart. This separation was not real, yet it happened. So it was an artificial separation, only in the mind, never in reality. The heart has always been linked to the Source as well as the "sane" mind while the tiny portion of the mind fell into the dream of being personal, private. It created an imaginary world where it stood alone in front of an outside world. That is how the sense of lack was invented. "You traded in your thoughts of Heaven for thoughts of lack on Earth."

In that dream, the tiny portion of the mind thought it had been exiled on Earth. The land of exile became the land of lack, that is the lack of the heart which was placed in a vault.

But "You can break through the illusions that are, after all, only your thoughts. Only your thoughts tie you to Earth." So our self-administered exile on Earth is also our passport back to Heaven if we join back that tiny portion of the mind, the insane one, to the heart.

the tiny mind and the heart

I need glue, a lot of glue, to join the two. I woudn't know how else.

Crazy glue should work. But

Crazy glue should work. But you have to be fast!

diverting your thought

Thoughts are always in your head going around like a slowly spinning whirl.. You cannot get away from this phenonema. God said the thoughts are pinned to us - they are really not our own.. They keep us firmly in this domain which is this world.Normally the human latches on to a strand of thought and this becomes your reality.. How do you divert or get out of thoughts? You have to keep watching the thoughts as they parade around in your head. And between two thoughts is usually a gap.Now this gap is where you have to get between and get out.. Then magic happens! This is not easy. But this is one way to get out of your thoughts.
Love to all my brothers and sisters.

in between two thoughts

Fancy it, to get trapped in that gap. You still need to be fast, but it may work.

nothing about fast

Emelia, this has nothing about being fast or slow - it requires steadfastness and awareness. It requires continual watching of the mind/thoughts. Why I and maybe others have refrained from letting you in on the methods/secrets is simply that you are not ready to undertake such a comittment. And maybe take off the shine of your search for GOD ....This is called watchfulness by other children of GOD.Anyway your function in the world is to help bring Heaven on Earth and it's why I have posted this piece after reading this Heavenletter.
God Bless

"watchfulness"

Then watch carefully, dear one.
I appreciated what you said, Osho used to say the same. Only we should not get lost in techniques and methods. I speak for myself of course.

Thank you for posting this

Thank you for posting this piece, dear Victor. Much food for thought!

Certainly, I have some say over my thoughts. At the same time, I would rather have no thoughts, dear one.

Illusions with purpose?

This letter addresses some important, somewhat unresolved questions for me. While considering it and Normand’s provocative and helpful comments, I remembered another very relevant letter. I will be quoting from this letter and I will put its quotes in gold font. Quotes from the second letter, The Bread of your thoughts, with the link below, I will put in purple font.

http://www.heavenletters.org/the-bread-of-your-thoughts.html

The first question: Why was our world created? Was it a dreadful error, perhaps just a mistake, or even the pernicious result of an act of rebellion, as some claim? Or, alternatively, was it a purposeful creation with some greater good in mind? I believe this letter favors the purposefulness point of view. We are told that the dry land of earth has much to offer. And. Earth holds great beauty. And. The Earth is precious to you. You are on a precious journey. HL # 1993 is even more emphatic on this point: It is natural for life to unfold itself in miraculous ways. This whole field of life is a miraculous thing. There is not one blade of grass that is not. Clearly, it is being explained that our illusory world is a purposeful, beneficent creation.

Next, I am drawn to ask why we lose our awareness of the True Land of your Birth? If the creation of our world does indeed serve an important role, it seems our forgetfulness is no accident either. Could it be that as we attach to our physical bodies that forgetfulness of our Source is a natural consequence of the process? Could the compelling worldly metaphors of separation and death that we see all around us inevitably result in a sense of isolation and fear that blocks our awareness of who we really are?

This train of thought leads to further possibilities. Part of the forgetting mechanism undoubtedly involves our cultural belief systems and what has been described as “mass consciousness.” These accepted social teachings seem to me to have their origin in the physical metaphors I just mentioned and often support and reinforce their power to confuse us. I bring this up, here, because not only are our accepted, shared beliefs in a constant state of change, they have the potential to bring us light to see beyond the confusion instead of just deepening the darkness. Mass consciousness has a sort of life of its own that continues on even as we individual souls come and go on earth. This thing we are calling mass consciousness evolves and, as this letter implies, every individual life impacts it for better or worse. It seems that part of our role here on earth is to reconnect with our Source and, in so doing, allow our strengthened connection to help move life in our world toward Heaven on earth.

I think this all naturally leads to what is contained in the final paragraph of HL #1993:

The world and its events are not to keep you down. You are not in subservience to them. Now you know the secret to ameliorating life on Earth. Buffet the world with your thoughts, beloveds. Lift up all the fallen with your thoughts. Friendly thoughts will not allow the unfriendliness to exist. Make friends with yourself and the universe and all in it, and so you raise the vibration of the world. We’re starting with you, beloveds, with you.

Much love and light to all……Chuck

perceived by restless minds

Dear Chuck, I once got a randomly generated Heavenletter that said something intriguing on a mass phenomenon:

You think I take away your youth and substitute age, but that is only of the body; do not complain. It is a natural event in life due to the long-held mass belief in it…

http://www.heavenletters.org/awareness-of-greatness.html

Since I know some quite interesting books on mass consciousness, I thought, Now let's see what else Heavenletters have to say on that subject. I did not find very much, but some of what I found was quite fascinating. Here is something I will quote rather extensively, not because of what it says about mass phenomena but because it says so much about the whys and wherefores of our being here, thus dispensing with a lot of speculation:

Everyone who is or was on Earth has walked out of their bodies and returned full-time to Heaven. They visited Earth, wanting to see what the stars look like from a different vantage. To see the Sun from seemingly outside it. To feel the moonlight refracted in their eyes. To know what senses feel like. To see what it is like to have toes and fingers. Just as you would like to fly, they wanted to know what walking was like.

They wanted to know what the Earth felt like, what a sidewalk was, what it was to grow food and to eat it, to pluck a berry from a bush, what it was to enter the mass market of the world. They knew they weren't leaving Heaven, just stepping onto Earth for one brief moment.

They wanted to know what it felt like to wear a body. All this, of course, was just a passing thought — it was not their main ambition. As penguins might stand in line and dive one at a time, everyone thought it was their turn to dive and that they might as well.

Once on Earth, they forgot how perfectly coordinated they were. They saw mishmash. They saw absurdity. And they entered right into the middle of it, just as you yourself do in a brief dot of eternity that seems to be stretched out long.

Before they landed on Earth, they knew they were forever. They knew their body would not stay forever. They never thought it should. It was a mere rental for a summer or two. And when they left, all the woe and angst left as well, rather disappeared — poof — for where in eternity could woe and other earthly matters exist? In fact, all that you presently call trouble was gone with not even a snap of the fingers. It was as if it had never existed. It had never existed. It just had been perceived by restless minds.

As they deployed back to Heaven, many realized that they had slept their whole Earth-life long, or might just as well have slept for all the sense or nonsense they had made of it. Now, in Heaven, they shake their heads and wonder what had possessed them while they were on Earth...

http://www.heavenletters.org/why-is-there-mourning-when-there-is-no-deat...

In all, my impression is that Heavenletters are not very interested in mass consciousness, certainly not as a subject that is separately addressed. They do not seem to be too interested in any other subject as well – separation, source, mind, real, love, oneness, god, unreal, world, imaginary, dream, lack, exile, thoughts, gap between thoughts, steadfastness, awareness, methods/secrets, your function in the world... They may be saying what they are saying to entice us along like the opened arms of a parent toward his or her child that is learning to walk.

And that's the impression I'm getting more and more that there is nothing in Heavenletters that wants to be thought about for more than a second, for more than one faltering step towards those arms. Insteadt of trying to take that step, we keep turning things over in our minds. Of course, it's not wrong to do that. It's part of this adventure of finding out what it's like to have legs. But there can be no doubt that we will stop turning things over yet again and instead start walking.

Heaven #1406 says:

All thoughts are memories put together in one fashion or another.

http://www.heavenletters.org/past-and-future-are-but-daydreams.html

Sentences have to use words. Even novel sentences have to use old words. There is no new sentence, only new permutations of old words. In the same sense, there are no new thoughts except as recombinations of known concepts. All thoughts are old. The New will not come as a thought and cannot be approached in thought.

Divert your thoughts, and what do you see?

Wow, Jochen! You sure found

Wow, Jochen! You sure found a great Heavenletter. How can I forget the wisdom and beauty of the Heavenletters you find. How can I.

Is it possible to see two worlds?

Thanks Chuck for your interesting comment. You raise a thoughful question when you ask if the world created was a dreadful error or a purposeful creation with some greater good in mind.

The problem seems to reside in the way we, in the relative world, ask questions about Oneness. Since we situate ourself «outside the question» to get an objective answer, we can hardly get what we call a «real and concrete» answer to our questions.

There seems to be two creations. The «good one» is certainly purposeful if we consider the good one as the One God created. The creation of the dreadful one is certainly «man made». But is it a creation or a fabrication? If it is a fabrication, then it has no reality. It is perception, a diffraction of Knowledge. Yet perception is consistent. Our dreadful conception of the world is consistent as God’s conception of creation is. What we see reflects our thinking and our thinking reflects our choice of what we want to see, believing what we see is really there. «If the world is a story that you minds make, then you are a miracle-maker».

But here is where the two views of creation split, as to say. In God’s view of Creation, there is NOTHING OUTSIDE OF US. In our relative earthly view, EVERYTHING SEEMS OUTSIDE OF US. We cannot reconciliate those two views. So it is impossible to see two worlds, simultaneously or alternatively. If one is true, the other is false.

And it seems that all the source of distorsion in our perception of an illusory «outside world» resides in the perception of the body. Because of the body, we never live in the present or the «now» or more precisely we never experience the body NOW. We always remember it or anticipate it. Could we even say that there is no instant in which the body exists at all?

What makes the body seem real to us if not the personal self’s seeming past and projected future? Time controls our perception of the body entirely, because our perception of separation from God is impossible in the Present or the Now. Therefore we can only think in the past or in the future.

The only way to shift from the illusory world we perceive as outside of us to the Real world that is INSIDE OF US would be to withdraw the body’s value from our mind. This does not mean we have to become an ascetic but rather that we have to interpret the body as a means for correction of our perception of separation and not as an end in itself. The body makes us still find separation from God attractive. The body makes the separation from God look real to us. God could not create what He is not. And He is certainly not a body. And why would have He created in the body a means for separation from Him? The body was just an experiment, we suppose.

About forgetfulness.

Does not forgetfulness come from our will to transfer our guilt to an outside cause, namely the world and, even closer, to our body? We tend to think that our body is our limitation but in reality it is our mind that feels guilty of itself and project its guiltiness onto the body or onto the outside world . And God says : «There is no percentage in feeling guiltiness. Guilt itself is a poor thought». And I guess the sense of lack comes from our guilty mind. We can create a trilogy or a triptych with forgetfulness, guilt and sense of lack.

We can create two kinds of miracles . One kind is the faked one and it lies on the past and the future as well as it lies on the sense of lack. We call this kind of miracle magics. The other kind is the real one which lies in the Now. We don’t even call this kind of miracles « miracles » because they pertain to our real land of birth.

And it is interesting to note that the word «miracle» is akin to the world «smile». The indo-european common root is « smei- » which means to smile, to laugh. We find smei- in SMI-LE and also in MIRACLE (latin miraculum : (s)m(e)i-ra-culum, ra- or ro- being a suffix of the root and the suffix –culum meaning a device, a technique). How funny it is!.

a poem

I find everything being said very interesting and stimulating, but, above all, I am touched by the beauty of those who, with intelligence and sensibility, strive to know themselves and strive with excellence. I read a poem underneath your words.

Dearest Emilia, the

Dearest Emilia, the excellence is yours and the excellence is you.

Yes, poetry

Emilia, dear, I couldn't agree with you more. The Heavenletters are poetry and so are the many comments that follow them. Everyone is striving for excellence and better knowing ourselves could not be a more worthy goal.
