Suffering seems to be a recurrent theme in worldly life. It seems to have an ascendancy. It is a prime focus, the suffering itself and the escape from it. Surely, life on Earth must be about more than the presence or absence of suffering.

Suffering has starred in the world.

Substitute love for suffering. Love will take the sting away. It is only the body that can suffer anyway. And ego. Keep your body and let go of ego. Your body is the car you ride in. Ego is all the extras. Ego is not necessary to the running of the car. In fact, ego uses up your fuel and gets you nowhere.

Of course, it is your mind that tells you stories. It tells you that suffering is your destiny. Suffering and the voice of your ego affirm that suffering is your destiny at the same time they tell you it is unjust. You rebel, and your thoughts encourage suffering to last, and ego jabs you in the ribs.

Substitute love for ego. When you feel anxious or annoyed or in pain about someone or something or yourself, remember love. Turn anxiety and fretfulness into love. You can do it. All you have to do is think of love, and sense of love will enter your cells and dilute some of your fear. Unequivocally, love will take your mind off fear. Look upon the face of love rather than the back of fear.

Once your awareness has started on the course of love, your uneasiness will ease. Love will flow through you like water down a hill.

More love is needed in the world, and you are needed to express it.

What did Christ do but that? Express love. No condition or circumstance took him away from love. He was a simple man of love. And it was love he expressed no matter what was going on around him.

What else is worth expressing, beloveds? What else is not a waste of time and life? Gratitude is not a waste, but what is gratitude but a form of love? Peace is not a waste, but what is peace but the settling in of love? Generosity is not a waste, for it is a giving of love and a statement of Oneness.

Impatience, anger, accomplishment, petulance, fright, pressure, adoration of restrictions, on the other hand, fritter way your life. With less than love, you become a piece of wood in the hands of an idle woodcarver who chips away at you. In this case, you are the idle woodcarver.

And you are not a piece of wood to be whittled. You are a Human Being made of love. Love does not have feathers that need to be unruffled. Love does not have rancor. You do not need to be recreated. In what can you be recreated? Is there an image better than Mine?

You are a heart within a heart within a heart of love. The depths of love are infinite. Your depths are infinite. Beloveds, you haven't even scratched the surface. The well of love within you is deep. It is bigger than the universe. As great as the universe is, the love within you is greater. Love transcends and transforms everything you can think of. Nothing else does.

If you want to know the secret of life, it is no secret, it is love. So let your love roll. Let it get out of the crevices of your heart and greet the world that so longs for it. You long for your love too. And, all the while, it's right here within your beating heart. Heretofore, there has been only a trickle of love from your heart. Let the greater love within you now elope with you. Let love be your partner in all endeavors. Let love take its rightful place. Surely love has more right than anything else.
