The Orchard of God

God said:

Now that you understand you are a Messenger for the One Who sent you, you come from a new height. It is as if you wake up, and find yourself on a new island. There has been some kind of time lapse, and you’re not sure who you are anymore. You wonder if a thief in the night stole your identity, for now you find you are wearing the robes of God. You fear a mistake was made. You cry out: “What am I doing in such robes? Was a mistake made? How did I get here. Is this I at all? I don’t remember myself. I used to know myself, but now I am a vagrant to myself. I stepped out of myself, and now I stand on a vaster horizon. Where did I go?”

There is no need to get your old self back. Your old self was the stranger. This bright light is who you always were in the first place, and this bright light is who you are now. Bright light of God, you are remembering Who you are.

At first, it may seem strange, as though you have awakened in a strange bed in a strange land. Now you are discerning the difference between dream and Reality. Dream is fading. Reality is rising, getting brighter, coming closer.

Once you were a poor man, and now you awake the richest of men. And now you have a Voice. You who could not sing before now sing amiably all day long.

Once upon a time, life cost you energy. Now you are gifted with energy. What was once effortful is now effortless.

And your desires? What happened to your desires? It is as if your desires take care of themselves. They are like arrows that hit their target. You hardly have to pull back on the bow string.

What about your heart? It has turned itself inside out. It has completely taken over, and it is full of joy. Wherever you turn, love enters your heart in one fell swoop, and love from your heart gathers itself up in bouquets, as you give them to all other hearts. Your heart has burst into bloom, and sheds its petals high and low, picked up by the winds of love and scattered to the four corners of Earth, picked up and elevated to Heaven, love tracking love, love joining love, love standing on itself, a tumbling act of love, rising higher and higher, never falling, and yet filling Earth.

If trees can grow tall, why not the love in the Human heart? If sunflowers can reach for the sun, then why not every Being on Earth? A sun only appears to rise and set. It simply stays still, and all comes to it. And so love hangs like a bunch of grapes in the firmament, and the children of God reach up and pluck the grapes of love to their hearts’ content.

Beloveds, you hang out in the orchard of God. Where did you think you were? You live in the Garden of Eden. You have called it other names, and you simply didn’t know Where you were any more than you knew Who you were. This has been such a case of mistaken identity. Now that you know Who you are, you can accept Where you are. Now you read a different headline. You read God’s newspaper. It is given to you freely. You don’t have to pick it up. It is always delivered to you. As you plow the fields, you hear God’s Voice, and you sing His song, and, soon all are singing in a chorus of love, and all are hearing their own singing in God’s Voice.
