The Ascendent

God said:

Now that We have established that your pure heart is a bell that rings, We will consider that your mind is also a bell that rings. Let's clear the mist from your mind so that your thoughts may ring as clear as a bell. Let your errant mind listen to your heart. Let your mind attune itself to your heart.

If there were no fog in your mind, would there be any in your heart?

If your mind were not biased, what would it hold but clarity?

If your mind did not calculate, what would it then complicate?

If your mind let go of past assumptions and conclusions, would it not be free to ring golden notes equal to the pealing of your vibrant illustrative heart?

If your mind really started fresh today, what could your life not be?

Your mind and heart are powerful. They are more powerful when your mind aligns itself with your heart and lets your heart conduct.

The Human mind is like a detective or a bodyguard, always scanning the periphery. Ever on the lookout for danger, it picks out what it is looking for. Very cautious is the mind. In its desire to protect you, it restricts you and therefore becomes a danger to you. The mind is so conversant with saying no. This creates dissolution in your heart.

The heart is a different kind of antenna. The heart looks to embrace but has too often let the mind stop it.

The mind thinks, "What if? What if this incident or person will damage you? What if this is a mistake? I am your guardian, and I guard you." And the heart is swayed.

Encourage your mind to think other What if's. Encourage it to think: "What if this person or this incident is pivotal to your life? What if this is a great moment for you? What if this is an occasion for rejoicing? What if your desires are being met by what is before you?"

What if the mind says, "What if everyone comes to you with good will in their hearts? What if I, the mind, become your aide rather than protector? What could we not accomplish together?"

Encourage your mind to think of your well-being as already established. Accepting that well-being is secured, the restless mind would then be on the lookout for your happiness more than imminent danger. This would make a huge difference in the unfoldment of your life. Your life is a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity.

Do not let the mind obfuscate or diffuse the joy of your heart. Certainly your mind has good intentions, but it does not do well by you when it puts caution and safety above happiness. Help your mind to change its intent. It is too wary. It needs to arrive at other premises.

Let your mind become permissive rather than restrictive.

Your true heart will not lead you to danger nor will it have you follow idle whims. Your true heart will not have you drive too fast or imbibe chemicals that are not good for you. Addictions and compulsions do not come from your true heart. They come from something else. They come, perhaps, from an obscure wish to evade your heart. Your heart is not short-sided. Your heart, of itself, knows not of error, for it is attuned to My heart and the goodness and mercy contained therein.

Your heart is a blessing. Your mind is too, yet your mind will do well to listen more to the beat of your heart. The mind must not undercut the heart. The heart must come first. The heart is the ascendant. Let your heart be open and your mind willing. Heart and mind together are fabulous.
