It is an interesting story, and it would've been more suitable for this forum if you could tell us more about how has this big diamond discovery deepened your connection to God.

After all, this forum has been created for people who desire to inspire each other by sharing their deepening sense of connection to and awareness of God - isn't it?

You are right - we are here, in this physical world ... TO OVERCOME not TO SUCCUMB to the impulses of the flesh and all that eventually crumbles into dust.
That's the name of the game - OVERCOMING - letting the SPIRIT RULE over the impulses of the physical senses, letting the SPIRIT LEAD.

That is the purpose of this forum also - for people to share their experiences of allowing the Spirit within them to rule their lives, for people to share their challenges, for people to share inspiring ideas they might have read somewhere, for people to share the key events that opened their spiritual eyes, and helped them to see the world in a spiritual way.

Even animals can see with their physical eyes - therein lies no challenge for animals or humans. The challenge lies in looking through the eyes of the physical body, looking at all that which will eventually crumble into dust, and seeing within it only that which is eternal. The challenge lies in overcoming physical sight with the spiritual sight. It takes willingness. It takes practice. It takes conscious cultivation, nurturing of one's spiritual awareness.
