Look Up at the Sky
What is it you would say to Me? What is in your heart today? What would you like to unburden your heart from? Let Me take away any vestige of pain, any image of loss, any sense of being depressed. Something must weigh heavily on you in order for you to feel down. Give it to Me then, and carry the weight no longer.
You don’t need it. You never needed it. It was only something to keep you down. Let go of the weights you have been carrying, and, naturally, you will fly. Why would you carry an anchor around with you? You are anchored enough without it. You have gravity for that, beloveds. There is no need to nail yourself to the ground. The ground is firm as it is. It is enough that your feet walk on it.
Lift up your eyes, and your assumed burdens will fall off. Shrug your shoulders, and that will help them slide off. Understand this: you do not need to have problems. And if you do have them, you don’t have to carry them with you. It is your thoughts about them that weigh you down. Clutter of the mind leaves you crawling on Earth. Shake off the heavy-some thoughts, and your step will be light.
You are not meant to plod on Earth. You are meant to dance. Given a choice, what would you allow to hold you back from dancing? The wall is not a magnet to keep you attached to it, nor is the ground quicksand. The ground is firm beneath your feet, and there is always the sky above. Consider that you are in the sky. You are in the sky. It’s just that close up you don’t see the blue of it, yet you can bear in mind that you live in the sky. It’s just that your feet touch the ground. The essence of you is meant to soar.
The globe of the Earth is a ball beneath your feet, and as you move your feet, you move the Earth. Be moved by your spinning the Earth. A sense of being depressed comes from immobility, as if you were not resilient. But, of course, you are resilient. You are meant to bounce back from everything. You are meant to move forward, even when you don’t know what that might mean. But you can know with certainty it means to get up and move.
Life is meant for movement. Life is meant to turn over. Today your feet spin in one place, tomorrow another. Make lively while you are on this ball of Earth. Hop to it, beloveds.
Look up at the sky, the blue of it. Look up at the trees that grow toward the Sun, and know that you grow to the Sun as well. At night look up at the beautiful trinkets I have left hanging there for you to reach for, the lit stars, the reclining moon, the hovering stillness of the night, and then the sun dawning, lighting your heart, announcing another victory day in the offing. Let the mobile of the sky be your entertainment. Let it draw you to it and bring crowds with you. There are no entrance lines. There are no tickets. There is no wait. All you have to do is to look up. Do not stay inside all the time. Look up at the Heavens, and do cartwheels on Earth.
By day or by night, there is a canopy that protects you from weighted thoughts. Set your heart on Heaven, and your eyes upward too, and so your path will be lighted, and so you will see your way.
