JACOB'S LADDER

I stand before a ladder
That reaches into Heaven
I climb onto the first rung
And begin to ascend

As I get higher
The view becomes so much broader
And the air becomes so much purer

I climb on and on
Heaven's Light shines extensively
And still I climb on.

Eventually I stop and look up
Silence. Solitude. But no emptiness.
Within me is the singing of many angels
Within me is the light of Your heavenly Being
Within me is Your unconditional Love.

Why is it that I only know the Truth now?
Why could I not see before I underwent this Ascension?

The ladder is the symbol
Of how my thoughts can sustain me in Heaven
How step after step leads to the Truth
And elevation to God's Love.
