Infinite Infinity

God said:

There is no long-time ago. There is no past, for there is no time. Yet time is big in the world. Time beats the gongs. Imagined time on Earth was measured by the metronomes from the days when ships were rowed across the seas. Imagine all the energy put into oars across the oceans and the mighty waves at the expanse of sea.

Time has you rowing hard across its might. O! the energy you put into racing against time. Time isn’t real, yet it calls forth a lot o’ energy from you. From the moment you rise, time has you in its thrall. It’s good you can slip away from time with sleep. Of course, there is really no time clock that has you under its thumb. Illusion has you under its thumb.

Time rules your day with a snap of the whip. Everyone pays attention to time. Time and the hurrying and deadlines whip you into submission. Time is King.

Somehow, out in the world, you are at time’s mercy. Amidst all the running around, you seemingly age when the Truth is that you are ageless and timeless. Infinity doesn’t stop to the beat of time. Infinity is beyond time. You are beyond time, only in the world, you are locked into it. It is like time is your rite of passage.

It would be so nice if only you could be untrammeled by time. If you must tell time, how serene it would be to go by the rising and setting of the sun and the twinkling of the stars and the Whiteness of the Moon. How close you would be to nature. You wouldn’t have to buy a watch and strap it to your arm. You wouldn’t need a clock in every room to make sure you are on time. Why can’t time tick according to you instead of the other way around?

How did a silly thing like time get to be boss?

Of course, the illusion of time also tells plants when to grow. Their clock is the sun, and the rain cools down the sun and waters the land so that the sun may reabsorb the rain. Let’s call time something else besides time so you don’t have to rush around for it. The only word I can think of to call time is Infinity. Every time you look at a clock, remind yourself of the Power of Infinity. Infinity does not tick-tock itself. You don’t swim in a time-piece. You do swim in Infinity.

Infinity is your natural habitat. Infinity feels more like Heaven. Infinity cannot be delineated yet, in Heaven, you fly on the Wings of Infinity. You are merged with Infinity. You are not separate from it. You are not seemingly cut into little pieces that must obey time, that little martinet.

Time goes in and out as an add-on. Time tries to interrupt Infinity. What a nerve time has. What gall. Time interrupts peace. It covers it up. Time fights against the Peace of Infinity. Time slams doors while Infinity opens windows.

Perhaps you have no idea of how much you crave Infinity. There are no fractions in Infinity. There is Timelessness. Time cannot enter Infinity. Time isn’t even a shadow in Infinity. Time cannot even get near Infinity.

Time makes a lot of noise while Infinity quietly goes about being Infinite. Infinity doesn’t make a sound. There is no uproar in Infinity and certainly no skirmishes, no counting, no running out, no hoarding, no separation whatsoever, not even a concept of separation, for only Is-ness reigns in Infinity, such a fullness that you could think of as completeness if there were an end to Infinity which there is not.

We could say that Infinity buoys you like the bounty main. We could say that you are swept up in Infinity, yet that’s not quite it. It’s more relevant to say that there is only Infinity. Just as you and I are One, so are We One with Infinity. Infinity is IT. Time is not.

The best night I ever had where there was no time

In the 1990's I went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean in December. The air was so warm and the twinkling stars were so bright.

There were so many more stars that could be seen because they were not blocked out by city light. It was so peaceful. I spent hours just looking up at the stars. There was a strange sensation that they were "pulling me up" to see them better. It was almost as relaxing and healing as sleep.
