You are all in My heart and mind. Never out. And yet you pray to Me.

Prayers work because they bring you closer to Me. They work for you. They work on the person who prays and those who are prayed for. Otherwise, prayers are not needed.

Prayers tickle what's good and make it noticed. The one who prays focuses, and by the power of his own thought, intention, desire, his prayers are realized.

In prayer you touch base with Me. You touch the hem of My robe, and illusion dissolves. What you want healed is illusion all along. The need for healing is illusion. But it is an illusion you believe in very much. Illness, war are great illusions upheld by the names and reasons you give for them. Your culture supports illusion. Illusion has become an enterprise. Money is made off of illusion. Illusions are false gods that you bow down to.

You expect illness or accident to fell you one day — or poverty or loss of love. You keep looking over your shoulder. You may pray to escape what you don't want while you salute it. You give great tribute to the Specter of Doom. He is in your mind more than I am. Fear prompts you to pray for that which is already yours but which you have not yet acknowledged.

All healing comes from Me. And yet it is your own heart that accepts healing. So you are the healer. If We were to use the word "responsibility", We could say the responsibility is yours. I don't need your participation. At the same time, I rely on your participation. Your participation is the request. It is the acknowledgement. The level of your thought brings fulfillment. Yet there is more to it than your individual thought alone, for you live in a tide of thought. Miracles happen. Often they happen despite your thought and the communal thoughts of the world. The miracles are the natural occurrences, beloveds. The fear is not.

Prayers are significant because what you think about is significant. What you think about you bring to you. Sometimes there are delays. Sometimes it is instant, although in truth, everything occurs in the instant you choose it. Everything you desire reaches you. Even the dead are restored to life, although, of course, there is no death to be restored from.

So, in truth, nothing happens. Yet, notwithstanding, you give great credence to the happenings.

You may even think Heaven is the illusion whereas Heaven is the truth. But if you want to accept Heaven as illusion, then carry that illusion above all those others you carry. Thoughts of Heaven do not burden anyone the way your other thoughts do.

As you think about Heaven, you begin to feel Heaven. As you think about Me, you begin to feel Me, feel Me stirring your heart, bringing you closer. Feel Me coursing through your veins. Feel Me pumping through your heart. Hear Me as I bless you and soothe your brow. Advance your heart to Mine.

I pray that you will know Me deep within you. I pray that you will know mercy, and that you will be merciful. I pray that you receive all the love you crave, and that you will give love abundantly. I pray that your thoughts bring you peace and health and wealth and wisdom. I pray that all that you desire for yourself and your family you also desire for all families the same. I desire that I grow in your heart and emerge from it. Yes, let Me come out of your heart so that you may see My power and My glory, and know that they are ever yours.
